Re: WA Bus Observations 2024
I don't believe NHs are replacing anything - they are just making up for any shortage of buses relative to demand.

Re: WA Bus Observations 2024
Thing is Jandakot appears to be a branch of SRDEP. I'd say the diesel buses are for Jandakot while the ex-WPDEP gassies are for SR. Beckenham meanwhile is getting all the newly registered B8s to make up for the B7s transferred to WP.

Is That True that OC Diesels 2099, 2102 and 2209 are in Perth from Geraldton for a refurbishment and I wonder when Busselton's and Albany's OC Diesels will be in for refurbishment.

Re: WA Bus Observations 2024
Considering yesterday's photo updates page on Perthbus.info has photos of those buses, fully refurbished, at Morley depot... Think the answer is "yes".

Re: WA Bus Observations 2024
2099, 2102 and 2209 are back in Geraldton from refurbishment as I saw 2099 and 2102 this week. 1461 and 2105 are in Perth right now for refurbishment and 1443 has also returned to Perth after completing its Northern WA tour. 1442 and 1444 will return to Perth as well when 1461 and 2105 head back to Geraldton.
Re: WA Bus Observations 2024

Re: WA Bus Observations 2024
A pity that more aren't being acquired, although if that were to happen, you'd certainly want to see some action as far as converting more routes to artic, or even banning artics from specific routes (i.e. feeders) to prevent the unimaginative and counter-intuitive utilisation of artics all three of the operators are known to indulge in...

Re: WA Bus Observations 2024
What seems to have happened was the rigid deliveries skipped the 31xx range altogether, and went straight into 32xx onwards. I imagine any additional artics (delivered in future) would be numbered in the remainder of the 31xx range.

Like people have said multiple times now, no one IN the know would share the knowledge they have due to social media policies.
Officially the last person to tag off the 381 - 20/5/16.
Second last person to tag off the last timetabled 16 - 23/08/19.
Last person to tag off a Transdev Joondalup service - 19/1/20.

Yes, it's true that 1771 is at Midvale - because a reliable source has observed it. I'm not sure what you're getting at with the Wangara > Albany > Busselton transfer though - the pattern I've seen is 34XX delivered to Wangara >> 21XX displaced to PATH (who seem to need the extra buses at the moment, given the NHs transferred from Mandurah).
I'd post any important, bus-related links I had, but they're outdated anyways.

Maybe it's due to the gas buses from WP being moved to SR.Bus Suggestions wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 9:43 pmYes, it's true that 1771 is at Midvale - because a reliable source has observed it. How? It sounds like PATH have gained far more buses than they've lost.Enviro 500 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 31, 2024 2:22 amMaybe it's due to the gas buses from WP being moved to SR.

Re: WA Bus Observations 2024
I suspect the contracts for Morley, Midland and Kalamunda packages could be put out to tender soon. Very likely Ellenbrook Line feeders could be operated by Path sometime soon.Merc1107 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 31, 2024 3:05 amHow? Re: WA Bus Observations 2024
The last tenders quite clearly stipulated that bidders were bidding on the existing network, and timetables, not hypothetical scenarios that may or may not come to fruition. The final makeup of the routes, including who operates them, will be known in due course, but no doubt there's room to wiggle there based on staff availability, and depots with room to spare (in the event there are a lot of growth buses to accommodate the revised network), among other factors.
