Kinetic has confirmed its growing commitment to regional Queensland communities after announcing that it will acquire Bundaberg’s Duffy’s City Buses.
With 23 buses and 25 employees, family-owned Duffy’s holds government contracts to deliver important urban and school bus services in the Wide Bay region. Chris Duffy will remain in the business as managing director.
Australia and New Zealand’s largest bus operator, Kinetic, has announced that local bus operator Mackay Transit Coaches (MTC) will soon join its network – further expanding its investment in regional Queensland communities.
Who knows maybe Whitsunday Transit might be next?

Whilst its not Kinetic, another regional operator to change hands is Rothery's of Rockhampton who have sold out to CDC Queensland.
