Been brushing up on some of Sydney Rail buff's old videos, and I found something ratehr interesting. In this B set update video, he mentions that B13 and B14 had SUNK and had since been rebuilt. He says in the comments that this was spread via word of mouth, although there might be a real source for this. Looking for some proper evidence, because if it did happen this should be quite an interesting rabbit hole to go down.

Also, was A02 scrapped or thrown into the ocean? Another idea that's been floating around, no pun intended.

Waratahs at the bottom of the ocean?

Reminds me of an old story about a wagon that ended up in Darling Harbour and when they sent a diver down to get it they came back up and asked "Which one do you want?".
Makes a good campfire yarn.

Ah yes, the old Darling Harbour wagon story. I think there's a photo of one being lifted out of the harbour. I'm guessing that this Waratah sinking is nothing more than a myth, kind of like the dumping of rattlers in Homebush Bay.

I recall something about some carriages being damaged during unloading in Newcastle.

A modern day bottom of the harbour scandal?
NSW, the state that embraces mediocrity.

I believe that was A01 and A02 when they were first shipped down here, the doors kept freely opening and closing, as well as many other defects.
