Her chief of staff has taken one for the team and walked, but will it be enough?

Transport minister gets dumped by the premier then the polical knifes start getting sharpened for a possable backstab if the premier and the dumped minister are in different factions of the party

Just consider, if the current ministerial choices were the best available, what might the second choices be like?

The premier should dump the minister and temporarily install himself as transport minister

It does not matter what sex the minister is but they need someone who knows about driving a semitrailer so the productivity increase of the Trailerbus can be achieved.

Chris Minns isn't Scott Morrison so maybe not.

I really don't think they're going to hire a truck driver as transport minister. Just a gut feeling

But Scotty didn't dump those ministers he impersonated? It's not unheard of PMs or Premiers temporarily holding vacant positions.

Because it is getting tedious seeing it infiltrating into irrelevant threads.

Happens regularly, after the current federal government was elected, initially all ministries were held by only 5 people, mainly so the government could be sworn in before Albanese left for overseas.

I don't hate the trailerbus, because to be hated it has to exist...and it doesn't. As Boronia said, it being brought up at every opportunity has become tedious. Please contain all future trailerbus mentions to its dedicated thread and thus those that don't want to read about it don't have to.

All ministries being held by 5 people immediately after an election is normal, and is very different to the concept of Chris Minns taking over ministries willy nilly as he sees fit without even having a replacement minister in mind.

Anyway it was a little joke about how Morrison took over ministries and was not intended to be a legitimate comparison to the Minns government or what the user in this thread suggested Minns do. We've taken it a bit seriously.

Would like to second the position on Trailerbus. The proposition that we make sure the Transport Minister has experience driving a truck because that would somehow make them supportive of a Trailerbus is absurd. In any case, it is seriously annoying seeing the Trailerbus concept be brought up everywhere except the dedicated Trailerbus thread.

Back on topic, it is very interesting the decision to back the minister. Is there faction play at work here? And I wonder if next time (assuming there is another scandal) he'll be so quick to support her.

Look how great it was having a Transport minister who drove 422 class locomotives or similar.
