solid conductor replacing wires
During the weekend closure of the central section of Brisbane rail network, the overhead pick up wire supplying 25kv to the electric trains, was replaced on the line through Central station platform 1. The new section is a solid aluminum bar with a copper wire surface in contact with the trains overhead collector.It extends into the tunnel.
