Heres an interesting shot Ive come across while trawling Facebook

Date is shown as 19Jul1965 at LDS church at Hala Tupou Lahi, Ngele'ia Nukualofa Tongatapu, photo from Alapuku Pasi.

Im told they are ex Action AEC Reliances and post as a matter of interest and whether anyone has any knowledge of the export to Tonga. Through the 1960's to 1990's I understand there were quite a number of ex Australian buses in Tonga

Regards
Peter Trevor

Peter, they weren't delivered until 1966 to the (then) Department of the Capital Territory. They have a PMC body with a centre door and were delivered in 1966, along with some Leopards to the same design. They were sold off after the arrival of the CAC bodied MAN SL200 buses from 1975, over the period 1977-78.

Reliances, the first Swifts didn't come until 1967 and had Hedges bodies.

At a guess these may have been attached to the DCT order as the buses seem identical in appearance. Maybe built just prior to the Canberra ones.
