Farewell Crowthers, 11 years ago tonight.

Post by The Inspector »

11 years ago tonight.
Crowthers Bus Link's services in the Cronulla area came to an end. Here are a few pics from the night of the last service operated by m/o.7316 (Merc O405NH).

Officially the Crowther operation ended that day. However the next day New Years Day Paul Crowther still drove the services that day.

I think that would be Miranda Fair or Westfield as it is now known.

Yeah, I thought it might be after I posted the question. I’m too used to how it looks now compared to not that long ago.

I'm semi daily driving a car where that length of time before it's manufacturing date was in the disco era -1978.

I am more interested in seeing photos of Crowther's in their earlier days in the 50's and 60's.

It's a good sounding name for a bus company.

7316 is still going strong. I tried to get a photo of it in Miranda on Thursday but it took off just before I got in a position to take a photo. But here is one from just over 12 months ago https://www.flickr.com/photos/193972346 ... 590759933/
