Today, I caught the last 867 from stop 36 Mt Barker road to stop 36 Mt Barker road (via Crafers, Piccadilly and Spring Gully Road; see here (710KB) for timetable from 27/01/14). All 5 of the people besides me and the driver got off along Piccadilly Rd, (none on Spring Gully Rd), thus making the 867 pointless, as the 866 services Piccadilly Rd as well.
Anyway, here are some photos, one in Stirling, and one in Crafers (I had time because we were waiting for the connecting bus for ages). There are also some of some buses that pulled into Stirling while I was waiting for the 867 to arrive.

The K series ones seem as though they're the only ones allowed to do feeder services in the hills.
Has 3269 ever left the depot after it's peak runs in the last 18 months since the ex rail buses were delivered to the hills? Seems like Southlink don't like using those ones unless they absolutely need to.

Re: Last 867 (23/01/15)
I agree, it seems like there are only CB80s in the Hills some days. I have seen 3269 off-peak, but as it is the oldest, it might also be the worst. On the 868 on the way home, I heard the driver saying that 3310 and 3311 were some of the slowest going up the freeway, so I would imagine that 3269 and 32 70 would have similar issues.

Not meaning to bring up old topics, but I think that all of the old 14.5m buses like the 3315 all need to have an upgrade to the similar chassis configurations and measurements but with more power. and if they aren't going to get upgrades of this size of bus, at least get a few more articulated because especially at aldgate depot, they only have 5 or 6 where there should be more instead of having to run the CB50's with people standing.
What even is a bus?
