I know this isn't related to WII?, but when did this kind of tram come out?

The Combino Plus spent about 4 months in service in Melbourne from March to June 2007. It primarily ran on Route 16, but also made apperances on the St Kilda light rail during the GP and a rare outing Route 6 during trackwork on Route 16.

Siemens brought it over for development & demonstration purposes, probarly hoping to get the latest order of trams (which eventually went to Bombardier). It was a marked improvement over the orginal model, with a better seating layout & improved ride quality.
