Re: New South Wales
Concord Road, Concord West?
Re: New South Wales
Hornibrook: Its the NSW where is it-not the "Sydney Metro" where is it... I deliberately took the and cropped the photo so as to leave a large amount of context so it could be easily guessed by someone. Its bloody impossible to guess where half the STA buses are that dominate this contest...
Shovelyjoe: That guess is incorrect-its taken somewhere on the North Coast of NSW...
Note the other Blanch's bus behind it in the distance-both are on scheduled route service. [as in route not school] Google Blanchs bus company and glance their timetables and route maps and you will narrow it down fairly eaisly

Re: New South Wales
Is it Southern Cross Drive, Ballina - on the way towards Ballina Airport?
(Sorta looks familiar... even though I've only been to that airport once)
--Phil.
If correct, I'll open it to the floor since I don't have a suitable pic yet
If not, carry on

"It's my way or the (side of the) highway".
Might be a way to lead life, but more like the way that some people drive.

Re: New South Wales
Getting colder...
The answer is quite eaisly apparent if you glance at the Blanch's timetable*-its rare for two route services to be following each other so closely...
* which you will find here http://www.blanchs.com.au/timetables.html

Re: New South Wales
Route 640 I think. Thats all I can make out from the desto..
I think it might be:
Ewingsdale - cnr Pacific Hwy
& Ewingsdale Rd

Re: New South Wales
Nope-wrong end of the 640-its within minutes of reaching Ballina Airport
the desto says "640 BALLINA CBD/AIRPORT"
the desto says "640 BALLINA CBD/AIRPORT"

Re: New South Wales
thats veeerrrrrrrrrrrry close....
this has dragged on long enough-i'm giving it to Newcastle Flyer because he literally is 200 meters out
the bus is on Cherry Street passing Ballina Hospital on its way to the Airport. In about 200 meters it veers to the left, just past the intersection with Fox Street [there is a crossroads and T intersection within 50 meters of each other-Fox and Cherry and Bangalow Road and Cherry]-I was standing on the grassy knoll out the front of the Motel [forget it's name] ready to shoot the passing motorcade
The bus behind it is operating a route 641 to Byron Bay-basically the same only the 641 goes via the Pacific Highway and Bangalow whereas the 640 goes via Lennox Head and The Coast Road. 641 only operates as a token service, either school runs or positioning trips for school runs [this photo was taken at 2:35] As I understand at no other time do two Blanch's buses leave Tamar Street in such close sucession-IIRC there are a few times when a Buslines bus and a Blanch's bus leave at the same time, but they very quickly seperate. These two buses would follow each other all the way to Southern Cross Drive-thats about 3 or 4 kilometers
thanks for all who have participated...

Re: New South Wales
Not exactly the station, now should I give it to him?
Yeah I will, it's just up from Newcastle Station on Wharf Rd, near the Customs House.
It's bus 3106 on the now ex-Route 108.

Re: New South Wales
I'll post a photo later, and Shovelyjoe, I would say that you took that photo around the 1:30 to 2pm mark or so, so it's probably either the 1:19,/:45 or 2:08pm train heading for Newcastle.

Re: New South Wales
There's a clue in your photo.
Okay, where is interurban V-2?
(Hopefully this will work for others, as Fotopic said it failed to upload, even though it showed up)
