Redesigned desto's? That would be the first time since they were changed a few years ago from the smaller sized numbers to what they are now.^^__^^ wrote:Noticed a few BT buses from W and C getting around with redesigned desto's. The route numbers have been changed to a much larger font with the details slimmed down a fair bit. Not sure if rolling out across the whole fleet but very helpful to pax by the looks. Very legible.

Much better the very slim-line numbers that currently appear on many current BT destos.

Re: Brisbane Transport Observations 2016
That seems a very odd set of transfers to me as it like for like and in the middle of the fleet number ranges at each depot.racingnathan wrote:5130, 5133, 5136 & 5137 have all been transferred to G and 5017, 5018, 5019 & 5020 have been transferred to C

5130-5138 now at G, 5017-5025 now at C.
Do you know the reason behind these transfers?

Taking a stab in the dark it could be trying to keep the fleet age at Garden City down?

Not sure how they can while they still have the Scania L94UB buses. Although honestly, I don't know what they will get to replace the Scanias when the time comes that they start getting withdrawn.ABS wrote:Taking a stab in the dark it could be trying to keep the fleet age at Garden City down?

Re: Brisbane Transport Observations Q1 - 2016
Think 2801 is a standard Rigid bus like the MAN 18.310s and Volvo B7s. As for when it makes it into service, I have no idea when that will be and which depot it'll end up at.daveeyh wrote:Anyone know when 2801 may grace our streets?ABS wrote:brisbanetransport.info has a Volvo B8RLE (2801) listed at the Workshops. Re: Brisbane Transport Observations 2016
2801 is a Volvo B8RLE / Volgren Optimus with an almost identical body to the B7RLE.
It has been returned to Brisbane and was at Eagle Farm on Monday morning, & returned to 2wong for more attitude adjustments after being in Sydney and Port McQuarrie. All that therapy may all be in vain after it goes to its first home.

Don't think that's true. Carina should still help with the 598/599 (at least I think they do).racingnathan wrote:Sherwood now do all 598/599's

Re: Brisbane Transport Observations 2016
I see. Speaking of 598, what stop at Garden City does 598 and 590 now start from? It's no longer B, and I didn't end up seeing the change in the service changes.

C2048 is now a Maroon CityGlider.
It has minimal CityGlider livery like T1045.

Scania 775 is in service also new rego 619WUI. Working from Virginia regardless of what BT buses website says as its withdrawn.
Also I have seen nothing but Sherwood allocations on the 598 especially...

Scania 775 was on the auction list for Manheims at the December auction so it must have made a remarkable recovery to be back in service within two weeks...Skyblue1 wrote:Scania 775 is in service also new rego 619WUI. Working from Virginia regardless of what BT buses website says as its withdrawn.
