The Kinetic 971 & 990 registration saga is resolved, but comes with a U turn! A visit to Coomera was made today.

990 is as suggested - XB76TN.

971 is XB57QY, which fleet lists had for 984.

NOW have found a photograph by Steven Jamieson of 983 registered XB 55QY, which fleet lists did not have.

Thus 984 is now likely to be XB 56QY;
985 (first in blue livery) is XB 58QY.

Has anyone photographed 984?

Kinetic Gold Coast 984 is confirmed as XB 56QY - the jigsaw puzzle is resolved.

Cairns Kinetic updates:
2702-2705 look all to be withdrawn. None have been on the road since the end of August and only 2705 has a valid rego.
2625 has been repainted in the new Translink livery with AOA applied for Travis Shultz lawyers.
2623 AOA for Ellis Beach Tavern
2611, 2618, 2622 and 3704 (the last standing B12) back to all white.

3 new B8RLE Optimus are now arrived at Tweed Heads but all are for NSW service Murwillumbah, its 1136 as rego as NSW plates 1970 MO, and 2nd is 1768 MO and 3rd is 1769 MO but 68 and 69 are not yet fleet no they're going change to 1xxx, also new Endura school bus for NSW coming soon.

Ex GC units 622 and 625 have now been withdrawn from service completely at Caloundra depot Sunshine Coast and unit 781 will become the training bus for future new drivers.

Also 5735 has been transferred from Marcella back to Caloundra.

Kinetic has added 11 x BLK - MAN 127CC6R4, BLK President(Bonluck) school buses to Queensland Regional fleets.
2 in Cairns, 2 in Townsville, 6 in Mackay and 1 in Bundaberg. Cairns are 2127 & 2128; Townsville are 3176 & 3177; Mackay are in the range 162-167 Regos for Townsville are 3176 - XB 70YE & 3177 - XB 83YE.

There are 5 King Long school buses - 3171-3175.

I started the morning of Tuesday 21st, October, in Mackay at the depot and saw many buses depart.
A few notes
- the 2 x Sugar Cane BioFuel buses were not seen (still have a valid registration) and may have been withdrawn, as their intent was a 1 year trial.
- the majority of school buses and charter buses are wearing Kinetic livery.
- in the Urban fleet, only the MAN 16.220 (including bubble buses) and 148 (Mercedes-Benz O500LE are in Kinetic livery.
- The Mackay Transit Coaches brand has gone. The colour is best described as teal and white. Almost all school and charter buses are in Kinetic livery.

The Urban Fleet is of 3 types.
- MAN 16.220 / Designline - 2 versions; (total 7). [83-89].
- Daewoo (total 3) [119, 132, 133].
- Mercedes Benz O500LE
... Bustech (total 2). [65 & 66].
... Volgren "CR228L" [1 only - #134, in Blue Translink livery].
... Volgren Optimus (total . [146-149, 153-156].

New to Kinetic Mackay are 6 x MAN 127CC6R4 / BLK President (Bonluck) school buses, with fleet numbers and registrations:

Driving out of Mackay, I saw a new Translink blue bus preparing for delivery to Whitsunday Transit. XB62ZK - Volgren Optimus.

Rockhampton Kinetic has a fleet of 17 Urban buses.
8 are white and 9 are blue;

3 groups:
4600-4601 Bustech MDi - CAT C7 - both white (front door only).
4602-4612 Bustech XDi - Cummins ISC - 2 white (4903 & 4905) & 9 blue.
4613-4616 Bustech MDi - Cummins ISL - all 4 white (front door only).

News from Sunshine Coast

Another transfer from murwillumbah fleet 1109 Volvo12M to Caloundra depot Sunshine Coast to join the coach fleet.

In December new network and rosters plus new Noosa depot opening with the transfers of all Mdi buses to Townsville and the arrival of 19 new MAN Volgrens plus 10 TMR buses on loan from Brisbane city council and transfer of some of the local fleet will happen as well just not sure which depot will get what so stay tune for further development.

Not sure if you mean 3626 here but 2626 is definitely still in the old Sunbus all over blue.

2626 was a typo; it is 3626 in Translink.

Great to have 2634 in Translink Blue.

I will return 2638 to active. Again, someone on the ground makes a difference - it was reported elsewhere as withdrawn.

Have you seen the two BLK school buses in Kinetic livery - 2127 and 2128? If so, can you match correct registrations please - XB 65VV & XB 82YE.

Regrettably, as the Bus Australia Fleet lists have stagnated, I have taken this project on in an attempt to have current data available - your post is exactly the goal I have! Cheers!

Hiya just some notes to be updated on the QLD bus fleet Kinetic pages as I can’t seem to get access to email
Sunshine Coast - Caloundra and Marcoola depots

We still have 5021 caloundra but 5022 and 5023 were transferred to Townsville
We still have 7013,7014,7015 caloundra but 7011 and 7012were transferred to Western Australia
The following are based at Caloundra not marcoola 5731,5732
The following based at Marcoola not Caloundra aere 5734,5735,5757,5758,5759
And need to add 746 and 782 to,list as well

So far I have only seen 2127 but I haven't been close enough to check the number plate. Will keep my eye out, those buses are hard to spot in the wild.
