Do you know how many of these Custom buses Clark’s has ordered?
At this stage we are going Custom. We've got 27 on order, slating single doors for replacement.

So are the North Stradbroke buses now under the TransLink banner? Seems odd to have buses with TransLink plastered on them if they are not.

It seems strange to have them there since the initial justification for these buses was for rail replacement and the second was for 50c fares, neither of which would seem to have much application to the island. I think its more the continuing self aggrandisement of Translink acting as though they actually run buses rather than just signing cheques.

Kinetic are running a motley crew of buses on the R620 this morning including a long optare solo and 2 white things, one numbered 653, I was on 657. Never seen these before. Thompson running a few red triple axles and white volgrens from VIC, an ex BCC scania from Wide Bay, lots of TMR Volvos and KBL using their normal service buses.

Is there a list of which Translink rail buses are at each depot anywhere? I know of Hornibrook having 0088-0097 but that’s it. Seems like Thompsons are using 0171-0174 at least today. Thx

This is what I have worked out so far:

0078-0087 Thompsons
0088-0097 Hornibrook
0098-0107 Transdev
0108-0117 Kangaroo
0118-0127 Thompsons
0128-0131 Clarks
0136-0145 Transport for Brisbane
0148-0155 Transport for Brisbane
0156-0165 Mount Gravatt
0166-0175 Thompsons

Outisde of this:

0076 is the Hydrogen bus going to Transdev (as Bus Show last week and parked at Volgren over the weekend)
0132-0134 possibly on North Stradbroke Island
0135 possibly at CBS (i.e. Caboolture)
0147 possible at Bus Queensland (Ipswich)

Translink do a route 880 but you can’t use a go card over there. Maybe it’s just for the school bus runs??
Transit Systems QLD run the buses on behalf of the QLD government Q connect network.last time I was there Kangaroo Bus Lines were running the services.

I just saw a new Thompsons double decker that wasn’t a Volgren Optimus on R617. It had a curved window line.

What is this new bus?

It's a Bustech CDi, ex Australia Wide Coaches. It's out on rail all of this week.

Almost got a ride on this from Roma St yesterday but went out empty on a R617. I needed the R618

It’s a sea of Translink volgrens at Northgate this morning. Currently on 0086. Nice ride quality, interior is nicely done, a lot of alarms and a drivers door that won’t stay closed but very nice. The door is now secure btw but he had to pull over and close it, do they lock like automatic central locking by chance??

Still trying to work out what operator 0132-0135 belongs to. If anyone has any info please let me know.

7133 just finished doing a 654 run so I'm guessing that one has been assigned to Caboolture Bus Lines.

I would assume 0132 - 0135 all belong to Caboolture Bus Lines then. I'll add it to the list.
