Engine and Vin number locations 1994 0303 M Benz bus

I have recently bought a unregistered 1994 M Benz 0303 bus with a dual turbo v8. While the old registration papers list the engine and vin numbers but to register it I need to sight the numbers stamped but so far I have not been able to locate either. A lot of the chassis has paint peeling which isnt helping.

Another issue I have is the shut down button on the dash causes some relay click but the engine continues to run until I stall it which is not good for the clutch, I have located a small motor connected to the throttle linkage but that seems to do nothing.
