It's still continuing past Rhode Road up and to where Aldi is. This is just short of Hamilton Road

Makes one wonder whether the Gold CityGlider will launch with PIDS already installed, and if the Maroon CityGlider will eventually also get them.

Driver's view of a Sherwood-operated 150 has now come out; it looks like the B12BLEs they managed to obtain are going to be put to good use.

Also saw a rarity for Darra: W5045 operating a Mount Ommaney bound 103 run.

Check out the new passenger information screens/displays that we are potentially getting along Adelaide Street and other bus stops throughout the city.Image

S1647 operating an outbound 150 run tonight. It would seem that one of the goals of having Sherwood run 150s would be to increase the volume of artics.

Saw a C TAG on an outbound 227 this morning. Is this a normal occurrence (potentially the extra capacity for school kids)?

I remember the messaging when the additional artics came being along the lines of "increasing capacity on busy trips", and the 130, 140 and 150 were mentioned. No doubt with the impending demise of the 66, that's where a lot will be working.

Yes, pretty normal for the 227.

A rather tragic write-off in the CBD today; G1273 crashed into a pedestrian pavement, injuring many including one who sadly did not survive the ordeal.

What on earth makes you think it is a write-off?

I apologise, I was acting on a second hand news report (possibly 7 News?) that claimed that it would be. I should not have claimed that as fact, though; that was certainly a lapse of judgement on my part.

Fair enough - although given the buses' age it probably wouldn't take too much of a hit to condemn it. Without any public commitment to new buses, though, it might put the pressure on to repair the bus.

Another observation - 1493 returned to service some months ago, too. It stands out with a new (or repainted) CNG cylinder cover.

I would write that bus off. Bad karma attached etc... Replace it with a new electric model

It seems the Free Loop 30 and 40 have swapped their fleets. The Spring Hill Loop 30 is now using the Yutong E12, while the Downtown Loop 40 is using the Volvo BZL. Is Brisbane Transport evaluating each model's hill-climbing capability?
Also, I saw some E's buses are now deploying the digital mirror system.

9003 is being ran up and down the southern busway, seen it 3 times now this week at Roma Street. No letter prefix yet tho.

As they will all be housed at the same depot at Rochedale, a letter prefix probably isn't warranted. so I would assume that they won;t have one.

Saw 9012 on the busway this morning.
