Victorian Route and Timetable Changes 2024

Post by PaxInfo »

Two upgrades in the Craigieburn area starting January 7, 2024.

1. New Route 501 shuttle. Will be a daytime only service running between Craigieburn and Donnybrook. Every 15 min peak, 20 min weekdays and 40 min weekends. https://www.ptv.vic.gov.au/footer/about ... -stations/

2. Longer operating hours on the 390 between Craigieburn and Mernda. https://www.ptv.vic.gov.au/footer/about ... hume-area/

Route 511 will also get a new timetable but it remains a limited service. All timetables on the PTV website.

400, 410, 420, 422 bus timetable changes & 1 V/Line shuttle route deleted in Melbourne's west. Starting 29 Jan 2024.

The PTV item is vague on what these changes are though the maps have buses running through the new Deer Park station bus interchange.

Timetables available.

Diggers Rest - Sunbury Route 475 will commence on 24 March, 2024.

The weekday timetable is surprisingly frequent, with a 20 min service all day weekday including interpeak and early evening despite trains at Diggers Rest and Sunbury currently being only every 40 min interpeak.

We haven't had one of these for a while. A 2006-style minimum service upgrade where a bus gets operating hours extended. Well it's happening next month with the 606 with the full route running 7 days and better weekday frequency.

Takes a while after funding is announced for them to start so maybe it's more for the 2025 list.

Anyway here's some GAIC funded bus upgrades just announced for growth areas:
