I dont know why Busabout and Busways were treated differently.
The strange thing about Busabout at that time was they bought those ex Brisbane Metroliners to use in route service while they using ex Brisbane B10Ls that were low floor as parts donation buses

Nothing strange about that. Those Brisbane B10Ms were great buses mechanically and had air con. The B10Ls were not exactly in the same paddock performance wise.

They all sound pretty tired to me. My first ride on a "10M" was in 1990 and they sounded good then, bar one mark 1 I rode with Westbus that sounded clapped out.
The mark III was alright but the IV was dull.
An ex Peninsula of Umina mark II with Glenorie was the best one by far. The gear noises rivalled a Leyland Wilson.

Busways 790 appears to have transferred back to Penrith depot from Glendenning currently parked inside the depot and looking very clean

Did Busways ever transfer any of their Custom bodied MK2 B10Ms to the Peninula area of the central coast after the takeover

They had one or two early 80s Customs B10Ms with semi automatic gear change. Not sure if they were a mark 2. They also had quite a few B58s both Allison automatic and semi automatic gear change.

Someone has noted down in Fleet-lists that the status of Mazzers Coaches Pty Ltd of Kyogle is unknown, I can confirm they are still in operation with at least their sole bus, the Motorcoach Classic III (TV 2248). I saw it parked at Hungry Jacks Beresfield yesterday around 2:30 PM and still sign written for the company (so not like the bus has passed onto a new owner or anything).

Apologies if this is old news.

The old Harris Park Transport depot on Murray Farm Road Carlingford has a sign on it indicating it is being redeveloped as a 110 bed residential care facility. No apparent work has started.

Strangely there is an envelope of recent junk mail laying outside the gate addressed to Keith Thorburn of Liverpool Bus Service.

Now there's a link I never knew.

My dad took me there for a gander one night in the early 1990s as he knew I would be interested. Full of Hinos.

Hillsbus 5304 noted yesterday in Caddens Penrith yesterday today I saw her in Parramatta at the same time.

Busways 2825ST has a panel falling off the side of the bus looks like it clipped something on layover in Parra outside Westfield

I have a feeling TV 5775 (Reno Austral Denning Starliner former bus 121 from Action ACT) may possibly belong to Sid Fogg's of Fullerton Cove, was seen on a School charter not this week but the week before around King Street Newcastle West, was full white, had a broken destination board (garbled text). Can anyone confirm if it indeed belongs to who I think it is.

I didn't manage to catch the accreditation.

City-to-Surf special event route X82 is being displayed on the trip planner function of the Transport Info website although no pdf timetable is available to download.

Special event route X81 is currently not being displayed on the trip planner function of the Transport Info website. Off the top of my head, I can’t remember the last time that I saw an X81 pdf timetable available (pre COVID) on the Transport Info website.

It is expected that a few bus companies will be assisting with the supply of buses for City-to-Surf due to a driver shortage in Region 9 (the driver shortage affecting almost all regions).

Route X81 is being advertised on the event page and on the map as 'Bondi Shuttle' in lieu of X81. Unsure as to why this decision has been made.

AFAIK, all of the ex STA regions have been requested to provide buses by Transport. TSA, KD, TJHB and Busways will all be operating services for City to Surf this year.

That sounds like Busways are starting to transfer ex STA region 7 buses to their western Sydney operations

No that is one of the buses withdrawn by the STA and acquired separately by Busways - see posts a few months ago.

Still surprising to hear. I say leave it that way. It's not unprecedented. They ran ex STA 0305s in corporate in their north coast operations although that was school only IIRC.

They carry 3 different Liveries all over white, Front and Back Blue bumpers and all over white (my favourite) and Sta Corporate 2 with Corporate 1 Diagonals on the front Bonnet.

T-JH seems to be so short of staff, they have resorted to establishing a kiosk inside Westfield Eastgardens in an attempt to recruit new drivers.

^ There have been a number of random T-JH bus service cancellations the last few days, looks like it must be staff shortages

Are they going to automatically side with the passenger when there's any incident wIth them?

Who wants to deal with all that nonsense with less benefits than before?
