Any one know if Adelaidemetro fares will increase
It seems that some people on public transport in Adelaide treat it as a "Free to Them Service" and never ever validate a ticket.

This would’ve been in the state budget announced a couple of weeks ago.

Just checked the budget papers, fares up by between 1.9% and 2.6% depending on which fare

Thanks for that.
Thought it would be out their website with specific amounts by now.

I think 1 July.
All the posters in buses, trains and trams will need to be changed. In buses above the windscreen in view of driver. Really it’s only the MetroCard fare and not the cash fare that is relevant now (on buses anyway).

Most likely 3 July - fare rises typically take place on the first Sunday of the financial year.

Re: Any one know if Adelaidemetro fares will increase
Ah, yep, they added the info.
Still no fixed $ amount, but quite a steep 2.5%.
And not even a Sunday increase by the looks of it this time, right on exact start of the financial year.
In the past, it used to be a Sunday price rise closest to the start of the new financial year, no matter what the date of the start of the financial year was.
Thanks everyone.

Re: Any one know if Adelaidemetro fares will increase
Instead of increasing fares they would be better served by catching the fare evaders. Simply increasing the price further penalises those who do the right thing and validate.
