There is currently significant improvements happening at Indooroopilly bus station, with configuration changes etc...
Hopefully, it will make catching a bus there a lot easier

Brisbane City Council is preparing to launch community consultation on the first set of changes to the city’s extensive bus network in almost a decade, before the rollout of its flagship Metro project.
A review of associated bus network changes, first flagged in 2016 under a 10-point plan to improve the city’s public transport system pitched to include an overhaul of route numbering, was expected to start this year.

It will be interesting to see just what happens with that network review. Presumably it is the peak-only services that stand to change most (perhaps into all-day feeders?) with the BUZ services less likely to be altered. There's also not much in the way of termini along the busway, given it's designed with one-seat rides in mind, which will hamper any changes, too.
An ABC article earlier in the year hinted that the Metro will only handle 60% of movements on the busway, which leaves a fair bit of room for other services to coexist with it. If too many busy trips are cut short, I can see that causing overloads on the Metros (and a gradual return to bus congestion) in spite of their frequency.

Noted massive delays on the inner-city network over the past two days - much worse than usual.
Inbound around 9.00am, buses have been queued from Cultural Centre all the way past Southbank. Often they queue half the way to Southbank, but this is unusual two days in a row to have a queue that long.
Outbound around 6.00pm on Wednesday, buses were queued from Cultural Centre, right along Victoria Bridge, all throough the Queen Street Bus Station and halfway through King George Square Station. On Thursday, the queue almost made it all the way to Roma Street.
With no new services, it seems that there must have been some traffic management changes that are causing the massive queues.

Note that on Monday 11 July the bus turnaround facility from Cultural Centre -> Queen Street for buses at 2a and 2c was closed, there were also some closures on Adelaide Street. Maybe this is having an impact. I know that Route 400 series buses are now using Roma Street at afternoon peak

With almost all traffic diverted off Melbourne St by the portal, it seems strange the sequencing has been messed up; if anything the reduction in conflicting traffic movements should make it all flow better.
450, 453, 453, P455, P456 and 460 now service Roma St at all times; outbound taking William, Elizabeth and Turbot/Magistrate's. Even off peak it seemed slow through the Cultural Centre inbound, so perhaps this will be an improvement.

I seriously think the lights at Melbourne/Grey and Melbourne St portal could not be synced any worse. You’ll be lucky to get 2 buses out of the portal inbound before the grey st lights go red, and for outbound, the portal lights are red turning left into the busway when the grey st lights are green for buses. The lights have barely seemed to have changed since the Vic bridge was closed back in January(?), so even with literally no cars on Melbourne st anymore, there are still times of excessive green for them (I do note the ped crossing across the portal still requires a green phase).

I would actually close the footpath of the eastern side of Melbourne Street so that there isn't a pedestrian crossing across the portal -it would not be too much of an inconvenience if pedestrians had to use the western footpath only.

From Monday 15th August there will be various changes to Cultural Centre and nearby bus stops:
1. Temporary closure of Cultural Centre Platform 2 till late 2023.
Alternative temporary platforms on Melbourne Street. At this stage Platform 1 is not affected until the end of the year.
- Temporary Platform 2 located 100 m away from existing stop, below the rail bridge (all routes to South Bank and SE Busway):

StationLink route 109 will be extended to PA Hospital busway station and Rocklea station from Momday 12 September 2022.

StationLink 109 will be extended from Moorooka station to Rocklea station to provide an alternative travel option for Rocklea customers.
StationLink will be extended from Moorooka station to Rocklea station, servicing Brooke Street stop 47, just outside the station.
Travelling from Rocklea towards PA Hospital, StationLink will run via Ipswich Road and stop outside Moorooka station.
Travelling from Moorooka to Rocklea, StationLink will service stop 39 on Ipswich Road (opposite Moorooka station).
The two StationLink stops on Fairfield Road (outside the station) will close, and all services will be relocated to inbound and outbound stops 22 on Park Road (near Dublin Street).
These new stops are around 400 metres from Yeronga station, via the overpass, Lake Street and Killarney Street.
With StationLink running via Park Road, this means the bus stops on Fairfield Road at Ovendean Street (near Yeronga RSL) will no longer be serviced.
The outbound stop currently on Fairfield Road will move to stop 30 on Green Street (near Wilkie Street), providing a better and closer alternative for customers needing to travel to and from Yeerongpilly, or who may need an accessible transfer option before Boggo Road station.
StationLink will also no longer service inbound stop 32 currently on Wilkie Street near Cardross Street. Customers will be able to use the nearby bus stop on Wilkie Street near Green Street.
We have also listened to your feedback and will be extending StationLink from Boggo Road station to the PA Hospital busway station.
So we can add this extension, we need to make some timetable adjustments and route changes through Yeronga, Yeerongpilly and Moorooka.

- For connections from Park Road station to Rocklea station, use Boggo Road busway station platform 6.

It feels like more regular Eagle Farm B7/B8s are being used on the Downtown Loop recently, today only 2 Yutong are out

Yeah, its happening recently. This time last year all 4 Yutongs would be out every day. Battery degradation perhaps? I'm not too sure why

why does some B8 rigid (especially toowong bus) had their light on their desto not really bright in night compare to white desto bus from Virginia and Eagle farm (even some of 23xx that had new style of desto still bright in the night compare to b8 in toowong).

Has anyone seen the new Volgren electric buses being built at Eagle Farm? There was 4 there this morning in Translink Livery I think for Sunbus. I’ve not seen BCC having one on trial at all but it’s strange how they wouldn’t at least have one on test.

The Volgren electric buses at Eagle Farm are mostly likely part of the Kinetic (formerly Surfside Buslines) delivery.
