I'm wondering if there are any forms of public transport (that is still operating so no Christmas Island Railway sadly) on the "lesser" territories, such as Christmas ISland, Cocos Keeling islands, Norfolk Island, Jervis Bay Territory (which is technicaly the ACT but whatever) etc. All I can find is a taxi service on Christmas Island called Island Crabbie Transport Services, apparently operating airport transfers.

Wreck Bay in Jervis Bay territory is served by TfNSW managed taxi connecting off Bay and Basin bus services from Nowra.

Interesting.
I've found there is a ferry and bus service in the Cocos Keeling Islands, as seen here.

Cocos Keeling seems to be the area with the most, as there are things like sheltered bus stops, ferry connections, etc.
I've located a bus stop here:

and here, with the bus present. https://www.google.com/maps/@-12.156788 ... 312!8i6656
And here is the ferry.

And here is a view ontop the ferry. https://www.google.com/maps/@-12.156543 ... 312!8i6656

Looks like an idyllic place. Pity it becomes a battleground in every war.
Norfolk Island has buses like that but only tourist services I think.

When searching for info on the Norfolk Island busses I found this rather perilous photo!

That is the only way they can bring cargo ashore from ships. When I was there a few years ago a load capsized and was lost and I believe that is not unique.

See for some photosback in the nineties at Norfolk Island. The photo at Cascade shows cargo being brought ashore there.
