The fare to pay using DayRider and Family Rider is being set to 2 times of a 2-zone cash fare ticket, that is $9.8 for standard fare and $4.2 for the concession fare.

Two-Zone Fare Cap

From 1 January 2022, there will be a significant change to the way fares are calculated.
You will now be able to travel anywhere on the Transperth network, up to nine zones, for no more than a two-zone fare.
The cost of a FamilyRider and DayRider will also decrease to $9.80.
If you are travelling using a SmartRider, continue to travel as normal and your fare will automatically be capped at two zones.
If you purchase a cash ticket, you will still need to select the number of zones you are travelling, however if you select zones two through nine your fare will be capped at the cost of a two-zone fare.
