I think he means that the buses have advertisements attached - not AOA. It was always the case that new buses were "clean-skins" when they first entered service with advertising added later.

Just noted one on an outbound 180 leaving the Cultural Centre this arvo. Must be my lack of southside visitsqut391 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 12:11 amI have seen these gas artics operating on 180 a couple times, including twice operating the last departure on Fridays.Cazza wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 9:36 pm Spotted G1614 on a 180 inbound this afternoon. It’s a rare sight seeing an artic rostered on the 180 but coming out of G is something I haven’t seen before. I’ve noted Sherwood artics on the P179/180 a few times but never one from Garden City. I have a pic buts it’s too large to attach.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
I haven't seen artics being used on P179/180 services in quite sometime (last time I saw one on those services it was one of the B8 artics). It usually the tags that I see being used for these services.

Saw articulated bus 1611 on a 140 Browns Plains-Queen Street service (around 9.49am) according to Anytrip.
Garden City depot's articulated buses (CNG powered) are frequently seen on 66, 111, 139 and 169, but during the morning peak, Garden City's articulated buses are seen on other bunch of high-frequency routes such as 130, 140, 180 to fill up for tags. Garden City depot's articulated buses are rarely seen on P142.

S1652 operated on Route 180 outbound, 18:20 from Queen Street to Garden City.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
''Garden City depot's articulated buses are rarely seen on P142." That is funny as I passed two of them yesterday afternoon when I was heading blank inbound along the busway to start an outbound 111. Also having looked at next weeks prints there is at least one Garden City artic in each direction.

I often wonder why any long buses are on evening 142's - so many times that I have seen them carrying only a handful of passengers along the busway. There are many other routes that seem to get larger loads and cold use the longer buses.Daza wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 11:56 am ''Garden City depot's articulated buses are rarely seen on P142." Five buses leaving the City between 4.50pm and 5.25pm just seems excessive.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
I think they try avoid rostering rigids on the P142 just because of the sheer length of the route. If all seats were taken as the bus leaves the City (which is even less available seats in these COVID times), passengers would be left standing for the whole 40 odd minute trip to Greenbank. It is kind of like a necessary evil, in that other routes lose out on a high capacity bus, just because of the route profile of the P142.
The execution of the timetabling on the other hand (which seems to be a common occurence post Queens Wharf changes) is extremely poor. There is no sort of consistency in departure times (with both the 142 and 546 departing at the same time more often than not) and the routes are so bunched together (which, as you pointed out, leads to only a handful of commuters per bus.
If you were going by the Creek St departure times, it would be 5 buses between 4:50 and 5:20 (a bus every 6 minutes on average). And if you throw in the P546s as well, you are looking at 12 buses between 4:33 and 5:40. However, as these routes are both purely commuter bullets (i.e. those people living in the suburbs and commuting into their "9-5" job), it's a theoretically sound route(s).

V2338 on Routes 199 and 470, guess it should be supporting Eagle Farm.

That would be correct. Seen plenty of Vs, Cs and Ts covering for E runs as I do still see the occasional E bendy out on driver training.

I believe I noted that a few weeks ago... maybe I forgot to write it! 1293 is also next to it with decals removed.

Buses are not necessarily delivered in order - but clearly not in this case as noted.
