Any news on the Volgren plant reopening?

Surely it must be soon!

I don't believe that it ever closed - just BT has not been putting the new artics on the road.

The new artics are now sitting at Eagle Farm Depot - some in City Glider livery and some in normal livery.

Maybe they will be on the road on August 10 when the extra services commence.

Oh really?

Nice! Thourght it would be strange to close volgren, but did see the deliverys on A.B.deliverys page.

Would assume well see them on the road August 10th.

Is the blue city glider transitioning to all artics or are the artics complementing the existing rigids?

Thanks BT Enthusiast. Seems logical as the artics aren't really needed off peak, and the more the merrier I guess for peak hour!

It has been wrapped in QUT AOA along with E2880 and E2881 since mid February this year.

Noticed Willawong's 5057 TAG running a 454 late last night, as well as operating a 451 earlier that afternoon. Definitely an unusual occurrence.

Seems that Willawong are operating more tags in Centenary Suburbs; W5095 seen on 8:15 AM 453 run.
Also, W1372 has been transferred to W once again; the same thing happened last year, before moving back up to G with 1371 and W1373, but whether this will be permanent is a different question. It has received the new bus stopping lights typical of most W buses, however, so that points at a permanent move.

Not a BT/SWT employee so don't question my facts please.
More a case that the buses were Toowong buses prior to going to SWT and the T was never taken off the bus.
Thanks.

Just saw a new B8RLEA (reg no. should be XQ93LS) in standard livery turning into Roma Street from INB, working on driver instruction training. No TransLink logos or fleet number. Followed by S1652 on Route 66 bound for UQ Lakes.

I believe rigids are registered up to 2900, however we should see all T's gas man's replaced with B8s (Like what happened with S, E and V. We might even see some go to G once the deliverys to T are done!

There have been no B8's delivered since March. There have just been B8RLEA artics since then. WE are up to 2894 in rigids, but after the artics have all been delived we should see quite a number of rigids come aboard quite rapidly, like it pre artic delivery.
