Perhaps there’s an issue with its vehicle ID or BCU - it passed me again today (around 1:30PM), but it’s not showing on real-time apps

Re: [July/Aug 2020] SA transport observations
2201 and 2202 are already shown in the Torrens fleetlist with their new numbers, 246 and 247. Not all buses have had the 2 removed from the vehicle itself, but on live timing, all the ex SouthLink buses at Torrens are showing three digit fleet numbers.

Re: [July/Aug 2020] SA transport observations
Received an email from the Regency to Pym project today advising changes to 230, 232, 232R route will commence from Monday August 10.
Re: [July/Aug 2020] SA transport observations
Routes 230-232-232R which currently travel via Harrison Road, Pym Street and Days Road to Regency Road, will now travel via Torrens Road, South Road and Regency Road due to North-South Motorway works.

I doubt a bus that is invaluable to TT like this one would be confined to peak only work.
No doubt it will be out as much as possible to provide passengers with the best quality of service imaginable. It's not 1385 after all.

Saw 1015 this morning on a Morphettville shift, just wondering if it's been transferred there possibly to replace R804

Re: [July/Aug 2020] SA transport observations
It doesn’t seem that long ago when BusTechs with fleet numbers in the 1990s were being delivered to Mile End depot and we were all trying to guess what would follow 1999. Along came 1020.
But we are now into the 1070 range (with 1071 hitting the road today from Morphettville). So what happens when 1099 is delivered? Can’t keep counting upwards into 1100s (without remembering a significant portion of the Obahn fleet).
So where to next? And remember this BusTech contract involves the building of something like 380 units.
And I’ve heard a rumour that the deliveries might soon shift from Morphettville to Edinburgh North. We'll have to wait and see what truth there is in this rumour.

Morphettville Depot must be close to its Fleet requirements, and unless there are any transfers to other Depots, your suggested rumour of Edinburgh North could be close to coming to fruition, although the 1331-1338 MAN NL 202 must be close to being retired?

Well not all but most old claggers are sent to crummy areas along with terrible or feral looking bus drivers and most of the new ones are sent to nice areas along with nice bus drivers, I swear everyday these changes are happening and it becomes more and more noticeable and obvious, oh boy do they come down hard on the nice bus drivers if they think they've done something wrong - ive finally figured out that's why they sit there like wooden indians - once they've been told off.

I can see why they do that to make the feral people and the upper class people of society to feel more comfortable but really stuff that it's so much easier and straight cut to have a group of elite and patient bus drivers with well maintained vehicles to make sure things run smoothly or it just becomes too messy.

Re: [July/Aug 2020] SA transport observations
Last week I went on a few buses in first time in ages whilst waiting for my car to be serviced. The driver on the 502 was braking too late. The MAN bus on H30 felt like its tyres were really really inflated. Then rode a A City train to Clovelly, swaying alot especially between Mile End and Goodwood. Even later on a 3000 it was bumpy. How does the State Government expect patronage to increase when many rides are uncomfortable? Looking at the railways it does appear the track is not set in probably, i thought concrete sleepers are meant to be better than timber?
Next station is Victoria Square. Change here for all trains.
Re: [July/Aug 2020] SA transport observations
The ride between Mile End and Goodwood was smooth for me a week or so back though it has swayed a bit sometimes.

is this really appropriate for a transport discussion forum? we're observing fleet movements not making a classist social commentary and it's a bit disappointing to see it heresent to crummy areas along with terrible or feral looking bus drivers

Wake up to reality of Adelaide Metro, it's exactly what it is an SA transport observation! The stiffer the suspension the more you will feel the bumps, same thing applies to train tracks.

Re: [July/Aug 2020] SA transport observations
@Lieselta If you want discomfort, I'd suggest riding any bus from 1973-1999 and 1020 onwards. 1024 is like being in a car along a badly corrugated road. The backrests bounce/vibrate all the time, and you can barely see out of them. But that's perfection for ya.
I've heard the 2020 built ones have announcements for every stop. MANs can be uncomfortable at times when they have suspension troubles. But otherwise they leave almost any Scania for dead.

Shelters at Old Reynella Interchange were getting a new paint job today. Mid to dark grey colour now.
