Re: Private Bus Observations 2020
Premier (Nowra Coaches) has had to curtail its Sydney-Eden service during the emergency, but they are to run a coach fare-free from towns to the south to Nowra to rescue people stuck in various towns - subject to openings and closures of the highway.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2020
Saw some sort of Isuzu bus at one of the Auction places along Beresfields Weakleys Drive, think it could've been F3 Motor auctions but they don't do bus sales? (Well at least I looked on their site but didn't get any results for Buses)
I only got a quick glimpse of it so my memory is hazy, it didn't have any number plates and looked to have a green livery something similar to either Coastal liner livery or the old Sugar Valley Livery.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2020
Transdev Revesby is running a lot of the older Volvo B12BLEs and Scania L94UBs today on routes 923, 945 and 925
Re: Private Bus Observations 2020
945 is a Punchbowl Bus Company route and not Transdev.idontknow556 wrote:Transdev Revesby is running a lot of the older Volvo B12BLEs and Scania L94UBs today on routes 923, 945 and 925
With regards to your post of Volvo’s and Scania’s, it’s something not worth mentioning because it may be older but it’s still wheelchair accessible low floor buses that they regularly use both on Saturday, Sunday and public holiday. If they were using the charter fleet on route services then that would be interesting to note.
Re: Private Bus Observations 2020
Not sure what buses are usually on these routes, but Transdev is using a lot of their buses on the Bankstown line rail replacement, so that might be why.idontknow556 wrote:Transdev Revesby is running a lot of the older Volvo B12BLEs and Scania L94UBs today on routes 923, 945 and 925
Re: Private Bus Observations 2020
Often a maintenance backlog can build up at this time of year with an increased number of maintenance staff on annual leave. Not a problem as when normality returns, there will be a couple of weeks to clear the backlog before full fleet availability is required when school resumes.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2020
It is nothing new. Transdev Revesby's routes (The 922, 923, 924, 925, 926 and 927) never go a single day without Bustech L94UBs and B12BLEs; more so on the 924, 925 and 926 which are occasionally shared with Bankstown Airport and South Granville. Out of the Western Sydney Transdev depots, Revesby and South Granville have a share of VST B12BLEs while the L94UB stockpile is shared among them and Bankstown Airport.sunnyyan wrote:Not sure what buses are usually on these routes, but Transdev is using a lot of their buses on the Bankstown line rail replacement, so that might be why.idontknow556 wrote:Transdev Revesby is running a lot of the older Volvo B12BLEs and Scania L94UBs today on routes 923, 945 and 925
You're on track here; a lot of Transdev's newer buses which are the VST B8RLEs have been in use on the rail replacements; similar to what TSA Region 6 was doing running about half of their Optimus stockpile on the Illawarra replacement. (The ex-STA ones, not the 7xxx B8RLEs from Tempe)

I saw m/o 6859 at Beaurepaires Thornton just up the road from the local depot having new tyres fitted to it this morning.
There was also a big white coach sitting at the back of the Thornton Depot on TV plates but didn't catch the rego.
I later saw 1555 MO running around with just "Route 14" on the Destination board.

There are rumours that some arctics from Region 6 will be transferred to Region 3, there is one (unidentifiable) towards the Eastern end of Smithfield Depot.

If that rumour is true then why are they being transferred across the only region 3 route that could warrant use for these arctics would be the T80Stu wrote:There are rumours that some arctics from Region 6 will be transferred to Region 3, there is one (unidentifiable) towards the Eastern end of Smithfield Depot

Is that rumoured Parramatta Road rapid bus route (supposed to run from Homebush to City?) going to eventuate? With the WCX M4 East now open for a good couple of months now, it's probably time we imporved PT there too.

Interestingly, Victoria Road might be included too:

In March 2018, this public transport initiative replaced the New South Wales Government’s Bus Rapid Transport initiative that was originally included on the Infrastructure Priority List.

Saw TV 053A today at Wyong on Rail Replacement, had "SEACLIFF Coaches" papered on the window so Sydney Coach Travel must've loaned it to Seacliff Coaches
Also saw one of Shellharbour City Tour Coaches recently acquired Mercedes-Benz Bustechs, the one I saw has the VIN "WEB35743821089760" and it has been registered as TV 085A. Had on the side window the following "City Tour Coaches Pty Ltd T/as Federation Tour Coaches ACC 43177.

2319 & 2282 are at Smithfield, The previously delayed changes to the T80 must be on the horizon.
There is also talk about the 410 being split up.

Errr wow 410 being split up? A 510 and 410?Stu wrote:2319 & 2282 are at Smithfield, The previously delayed changes to the T80 must be on the horizon.

All that work just to cut down on the bus stops only 2 years ago
Maybe that might lend itself well to a frequency increase on the northern leg. During the peaks, the 10 min frequency is definitely untenable with southbound passengers from Mac Park often unable to board.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2020
I'm guessing that the two routes would overlap each other. Hurstville to Rhodes and Burwood to Marsfield.
The numerous bus stop removals relates to Sydney's Bus Future 2013 and the TfNSW / RMS Bus Priority Program.

Well I definitely wouldn't mind if it's Hurstville to Rhodes. Better still maybe Hurstville to Wentworth Point?Stu wrote:I'm guessing that the two routes would overlap each other. Hurstville to Rhodes and Burwood to Marsfield.

Just noticed that there are new region 6 timetables on Transport Info started last Sunday 12th January - still school holiday ones - no idea what any changes might be.

Or maybe Hurstville to Concord Hospital and Marsfield to Burwood (Railway Pde) - since the former would involve utilising a roundabout at the end of Hospital Road rather than terminating randomly in the middle of busy Concord Road near Rhodes Station.Stu wrote:I'm guessing that the two routes would overlap each other.
