Both of the Driver Coaches Gray Line deckers, 1x Denning, 1x Motorcoach were severely damaged in yesterday morning's depot fire and may well be write offs.

Still using the original O680 motor or was it replaced by a Cummins LT10/Volvo D10A?

They say here that the bendy buses in Sydney will gradually be replaced with DD but I think it is pretty dumb having the stop buttons up top https://www.smh.com.au/national/nsw/old ... wpxt6.html

Volvo did say something on their Facebook page about a B8L double decker demo in service in 2019 but seems it didn't happen.

Further to my post from Nov 2018, Drivers Denning decker was able to be rebuilt and re-entered service late 2019. Sadly the Motorcoach decker was beyond salvage and was scrapped.

After watching how London buses were used to attract tourists @31.50 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ql5yAFByYg I thought a free Trailerbus could do the same.

All it needs is an exemption from the NSW transport minister https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/ ... top-button

The Langleys rebuilt the engine and gearbox a little while back so she's good for another 20+ years!

I was not sure if this is the right place for this

Boris bus has major battery issue https://arstechnica.com/cars/2015/07/lo ... ry-issues/

Perhaps we have become a bit too precious in not trusting people for their own safety.

That was in TfNSW livery.

Although Volgren Optimus is allowed on the procurement panel to bodied the MAN A95 decker chassis, they are still remaining bodied By Gemilang

Foundry Road. You can get some nice pics of them during the afternoon runout standing near the Hungry Jacks at the top of the road.

This modest leaflet was put out a few years ago to publicise the introduction of double deckers to Hills routes and whilst I expect most avid enthusiasts would have seen this, I thought, for those who haven't, here it is. Additionally, I thought this would appeal to "tonyp" who is a passionate decker supporter!!
