When they use them on the country routes in the Coffs Harbour area they are not unlawful as there are no livery rules for those areas.

Why not just use their final iteration of the Forest livery then?
Their greened TNSW was always intended as an attempt at a compromise to comply.
Grew on them eh?

Are all contact regions taking deliveries in TNSW livered buses?
Attrition of older vehicles may be the only hope we've got to seeing at least a majority carrying this scheme,
before the government of the day decides to change everything to gratify egos.

All contract regions in Sydney, Wollongong, Central Coast, Newcastle and Blue Mountains take deliveries in TNSW livered buses but other regional areas do not.

Agreed Swift. But at 25 years maximum age that's going to take an awful long time to work through. As I ,and others have said before this programme really is a waste of time and money.
The major issue is all the fleets, probably excepting Punchbowl, look unattractive and messy due to the proliferation of different liveries in use.Just can the programme and get back to individual liveries for each contract holder.
I'll bet if TFNSW announced the end of the programme there would be a huge move by the operators to restablish their own identities and liveries.

I can think of three bus companies in particular where TNSW is an improvement in what they offer!

Yes,Swift,,I'll bet the ones with the white liveries,if you can call that a livery!!!!.2 French owned operators in paticular.Unfortunately the appearance of the fleets in general leaves much to be desired. If we were back in the era of farebox, livery and presentation would suddenly become real important!!

Was curious, so I asked friends at uni a few days ago if they noticed the TfNSW blue bus livery being rolled out across Sydney and if so what they thought of it. Most agreed that it made the buses look "cleaner" (that's probably only because TfNSW buses tend to be newer, though) and more easily identifiable. Some didn't really care either way.

It's obvious that the current Government isn't really commited to the TfNSW repaint program.

Along with this is their deliberate de-branding of the metrobus concept.

Little old ladies struggle enough with public transport.

'Oh yeeeessss, I always get on my red bus to go to the shopping centre'.

Not any more.

They are using 'operational flexibility' or some similar buzz word as an excuse to dilute the concept whereby metrobuses are used on any routes, day and night.

Even the STA is deliberately avoiding repainting their buses into TfNSW colours, by doing partial repaints that seem to cover 90% + of each vehicle.

This would, no doubt, be an instruction received from on high.

This is a bloody minded attitude that does nothing to enhance a public transport system.

Small bet ....the Liberal Government will, no doubt, shortly come out with some fantastic new variation to the pale blue and white livery...yeehah !!!

^ the angles on the chevrons will be smoothened out to become curves with the reason being "it gives the customer the sense that public transport in Sydney is seamless and smooth".

I searched the word "moustache" on this thread, for nil result. So, what's the story behind the moustaches on the Bustechs?

CDC and Transdev will take a big leap in the next coming months as they receive deliveries for the Epping to Chatswood shut down.
