Speaking of 2607 in Claisebrook, I have also seen standard-livery OC500s there on some mornings. Could they be there for the driver's tea break before starting his next shift on a Freo contract route from EQBS?

Correct. Used due to proximity to WACA and the (former!) Terrace Road terminus. Unsure if space constraints at EQ have anything to do with it, although that is a plausible third option.

Seen them too. All parked next to 1610, or what still remains of it.

1610 was scrapped long ago. Could be the shell of 1593, though (that has somewhat recently been removed from SR).

Cheers!

It'll be 1593, that was stripped down to the chassis pretty much.

It's been over 10 years since 1610 caught fire, so unless it's been hidden away at CV for all that time...

Pretty sure what I have seen is 1610 as there are many black marks on the side that appear to have come from smoke damage.

Wangara is the next depot to start B7 refurbs, with 2124 freshly noted today.
I'd post any important, bus-related links I had, but they're outdated anyways.

The ordering of these refurbs is curious, rather than doing all the oldest ones first (which would be the Midvale, Mandurah and Morley units), they seem to be doing a few from each depot/contract at a time with newer Beckenham and Wangara units being done alongside the older Mandurah/Midvale/Morley units. Perhaps they want to avoid a repeat of the OC refurbs which saw up to six buses at a time away from a single depot?

Edit: Clarity

With the OC refurbs it seemed like something of a catchup game. For example, the withdrawals we see now were only refurbished 2016/2017.

As to the logic here, my guess is as good as the next person's. Condition based? Is it based on the expected fleet movements in the coming years (i.e. regional transfers)?

Any B8s for Path anytime soon? They recently lost 100 and 1864 prematurely.
