Transperth Bus Fleet by Depot / Region

Post by sylar »

Its been a challenge to keep track of bus movements between Transperth depots and Trans Regional depots so given the topic of some discussions in the Observations thread in recent times I thought it might be handy to have a thread dedicated to documenting where buses are located at by depot.

I'll kick things off with Karrinyup, Beenyup, Rockingham and Mandurah..... please feel free to share corrections and knowledge of other depots :)

Karrinyup: OC's 2019-2097, B7's 2426-2450 and B12 Artics 3003, 3004, 3009, 3013, 3014, 3023.

Beenyup: NH's 1353, 1830-1853, B7's 2536-2552, 2557-2563 and B8 2589.

Rockingham: OC's 118-122, 1918, 1938-1978, RCCTS1-RCCTS4, B7's 2216-2222, 2246-2248, 2250-2262, 2269, 2270, 2275, 2276, 2280, 2281, 2293-2296, 2928-2930, B8 Artics 3087, 3089-3092.

Mandurah: NH's 1200-1202, 1210-1230, B7's 2223-2244, 2263-2268, 2685, 2906-2908, 2931, 2933, B12 Artics 3006, 3008, 3012, 3018, 3024, 3025, B8 Artics 3094, 3095.

Mostly right!

2450 is at Midvale, otherwise Beenyup/Karrinyup seems good to me

2216-44 are all Mandurah's, 2246-61 are at Rocky, 2262-69 are Mandurah

2933 is Joondalup's

3015 is also at Mandurah and 3094 is Freo's

It's funny now I look at this thread. I stopped recording fleet (Gosnells fleet) in August 1991. My fleet is at that time:
32 - 35 Leyland B21
245 - 258 MB 305
302 - 308 MB 305
352 - 358 MB 305
389 - 395 MB 305
431 - 435 MB 305
452 - 464 MB 305
643 - 658 Renault
741 - 747 Renault Artic
803 - 808 Leyland Leopard
836 - 849 Leyland Panther
953 - 958 Leyland Panther

Likewise, thanks for everyone's contribution... Hopefully we'll see more discussions in this thread when movements between depots occur.

While we're at it, here's Busselton's fleet, and my best guess of what's at Bunbury. Important to note that both fleets is undergoing some changes right now, so I expect to update this list as new info comes to light, particularly Bunbury's fleet.

Thanks for the thread and updates, guys.
Not an easy task, but certainly much appreciated.
Be nice to see perthbus.info updated at some point.

While on-topic, any info on what's happening with perthbus.info?
I have been perusing for a few weeks in Disposals area (reliving the memories), but there are lots of errors - mismatched photos to fleet numbers, in-service and disposal dates the same date, etc.

Does anyone know??

In the past, I've been told some of the mismatches or peculiarities can arise as a result of changes to the website's code or even a slight oversight on the Webmaster's behalf. The move to a new host some time ago did cause a number of issues, most of which were fixed, I believe (that's not to say they haven't updated something since that's caused new problems!).

Inaccuracies or incompleteness in the disposals lists is probably due a lack of any disposal information being available. A lot of the Renault artics, for instance, vanished from service (to be more precise, they were scrapped...) and nobody noticed. 737 is one exception...

It seems that the Renault arctics being documented ‘locally’ was easier than looking for transfers as most ended up at Mandurah so we’re fairly easy to keep track of right at the end. 722 for example was the last alongside Mandurahs long serving buses. A good example of just dissapearibg was 732....rode on it on a Thursday afternoon then never saw it again!!!

Although the Perthbus website is (was) a great site the updates now seemed to have stopped since March along with the excellent photo section. Any chance of the site picking back up where it was a few months ago again?

There will be reasons behind Perthbus.info not being updated. I'm sure in time it will pick up again. The person who runs the site does it all by themselves, so may just be taking a break from it for a while.

David is actually taking break from it though after 14 years when i speak to him in person and there is a guy who adds the new buses to the website for him but he also hasn't been active since about 6 months.
The one who catches the Perth Stadium bus like an illegal immigrant by only to gunzel for buses & trains and/or to go anywhere else.

The admin of that website does also work and has other commitments which are none of our business, I’m sure he’ll update it in due course
