One to keep an eye out, reports of a Transperth t-boning a Ford Falcon on Dixon Road near Goddard Road. With around 8 ambos on scene & the jaws of life (could be any other hydraulic tool) being used on the Falcon with a totalled front.

TP 1952 was the bus involved in the accident yesterday outside Rocky depot (how ironic) a CNN video can be found here >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fr4aH3xEZYQ
Side Note: My Uncle stars in the video in the Blue+Yellow BTOWED shirt, as his company took the vehicle away to their holding yard just down the road.

Interesting that it's a Karrinyup bus, unless it was a promotional shoot.

I was told some of those 157x's at Karrinyup were being transferred to Shenton Park to operate Swan's 950 services.

Think it was 1572, 73, 74 and 75 but I think 1574 and 75 are at Southern River so I might be incorrect.

2437 was doing Driver training/familiarisation with the new route, there were about 5 or so trainees and a couple of instructors.

Yes, they are the 157x buses at SP, I saw 1573/4/5 all on Mounts Bay Rd services today.

Why would they need to display the route number just for driver training?

TP 3001 has been put back in traffic. TP 1700 clicked over 1,000,000 kms this week and TP 2306 clicked over 200,000 kms.

Do you think that could possibly be 2,000,000 Km? It's the first O405NH delivered to Path in 1999 and there are numerous NH's I've come across at Swan that have done the clock in past years. It was one of Path's original circle route buses when it (both the circle route and 1700) was run from Karrinyup.

No doubt it very much.

Not a chance busdriver12 the original batch of 1700's had cruisy lives, until they went to Malaga with the contract changes in May 2011. I drove 1710 earlier in the week and it's only done 948000k.

Just as a comparison, the Sydney Buses Merc artics that were withdrawn a few years ago had over 2,000,000km on them a piece, but they spent 18 hours a day on the road (save maintenance, whatever little they received) with barely a break between shifts.

690 and 1044 both now have cages fitted.

Saw Rockingham's 1238 on a 160 a few minutes ago at the Busport.

Just seen the new desto by Swan, compared with the one before had removed the ALL CAPS cases, however some of them are becoming funny on them. Such as "Scarborough BEACH", "Osbrone PARK", "Wembley DOWNS" respectively, in two rows. It should be the case to make the appearance to be the same like the route 950 etc.?

I saw 1314 on Sunday night on the Terrace and thought it looked odd not seeing a Swan desto in full caps.

It's good when you do Circle as you could of always picked it was a Swan bus coming towards you by the desto.
