Hey guys, my brother and I are keen on buying a 1992 B10m bus to convert into a transporter for a car. We are struggling to find anywhere to insure it privately.
We don’t really want to register it as a motor home as we don’t want to change the door to swing outwards plus some company’s are saying no due to it either being a transporter or me being to young.
My question is can we register it as a truck or van easily? And if anyone has someone that will insure for just 3rd party
Thanks Ray!

Re: Private bus insurance!
In theory, a bus without seats is a van.
But if you are going to convert it into a transporter, you will probably need an engineer's certificate to get it registered.
The rules will vary from state to state, so best to talk to your registration authority.
Insurance will be a problem, so perhaps best talk to a broker.
Good luck.
