Re: [Mar/Apr 2021] SA Transport observations
Quite a bizarre and random change of numbers for these two fairly new Hybrid buses. If the four transfers from the hills are to get re numbered one would think they can be slotted into 15** number range pretty easily unless they just become 452 onwards

It
It is bizzare to re-number 1791 at 5701, it would of made sense if it was 5001, or 8001 or something like that.

Re: [Mar/Apr 2021] SA Transport observations
The song nut in me already is singing a song if a bus is ever numbered 5705. Here are a sample of lyrics from a City Boy song called 5.7.0.5.
Hey operator
Five seven o five
But there's no reply
Five seven o five
Why do you keep me hanging on the line?

I suspect this could only be temporary while 3227, 3229, 3231 & 3232 are with Torrens Transit?Lt. What was the bus that broke down while turning a corner in the city this morning? I think it’s an Ed. North bus on a GA3 but could be wrong. Video: https://fb.watch/57JIhdScyi/

Did it break down or has the turntable locked up it's hard to see from the video angleBusFan23 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 10:02 pm What was the bus that broke down while turning a corner in the city this morning? I’m not sure. I would say that the turntable locked up. How does something like that even happen?Former driver37 wrote:Did it break down or has the turntable locked up it's hard to see from the video angleBusFan23 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 10:02 pm What was the bus that broke down while turning a corner in the city this morning? Re: [Mar/Apr 2021] SA Transport observations
Could be a combination of the tight angle of the turn and possibly the gradient (slightly uphill) when turning left. Possibly the same issue that prevents articulated trams from making some turns at that intersection, and why the western approach track had to be raised prior to the intersection.

These buses are in use this afternoon based out of Mile End. Definitely weird seeing single door Scanias on Torrens Transit routes!leftyandy76 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 24, 2021 7:24 amI suspect this could only be temporary while 3227, 3229, 3231 & 3232 are with Torrens Transit?

Massive accident on SE Freeway as well between Stirling and Bridgewater, meaning Glen Osmond Rd and the Freeway are both car parks. Delays of 30+ minutes to basically all services heading to the Hills

Fleet numbering for the next batch of Torrens Transit Scania Bustech's will commence at 5001.
