I wasn’t aware that it is the Department who does fleet numbering

BusFan23 wrote: Thu Apr 22, 2021 3:14 pm Does anyone know why TT renumbered 1791 and 1792 to 5701 and 5702? Also, why did those SouthLink buses (3227, 3229, 3231 & 3232) get transferred?
Quite a bizarre and random change of numbers for these two fairly new Hybrid buses. If the four transfers from the hills are to get re numbered one would think they can be slotted into 15** number range pretty easily unless they just become 452 onwards

It is bizzare to re-number 1791 at 5701, it would of made sense if it was 5001, or 8001 or something like that.

The song nut in me already is singing a song if a bus is ever numbered 5705. Here are a sample of lyrics from a City Boy song called 5.7.0.5.

Hey operator
Five seven o five
But there's no reply
Five seven o five
Why do you keep me hanging on the line?

I suspect this could only be temporary while 3227, 3229, 3231 & 3232 are with Torrens Transit?

Neither of these 2 buses have been out in service over this weekend. Electric Bus 1788 is still off the road.

What was the bus that broke down while turning a corner in the city this morning? I think it’s an Ed. North bus on a GA3 but could be wrong. Video: https://fb.watch/57JIhdScyi/

Did it break down or has the turntable locked up it's hard to see from the video angle

I’m not sure. I would say that the turntable locked up. How does something like that even happen?

Could be a combination of the tight angle of the turn and possibly the gradient (slightly uphill) when turning left. Possibly the same issue that prevents articulated trams from making some turns at that intersection, and why the western approach track had to be raised prior to the intersection.

These buses are in use this afternoon based out of Mile End. Definitely weird seeing single door Scanias on Torrens Transit routes!

Major MVA Southern Expressway between Majors Rd and Marion Rd affecting towards Noarlunga.

Services will be detouring along South Rd.

Many South Road buses running late
Next station is Victoria Square. Change here for all trains.

Massive accident on SE Freeway as well between Stirling and Bridgewater, meaning Glen Osmond Rd and the Freeway are both car parks. Delays of 30+ minutes to basically all services heading to the Hills
