1200s on the Obahn
1200s on the Obahn
I think that majority of the 1200s (not sure if CB40s or 60s?) were originally on the Obahn. What was the reason why they were taken off the track and how long were they on the track for?
Re: 1200s on the Obahn
They were original design CB60s, the CB60 design on the K230UBs and such are called Evo II CB60s. Someone else can fill you on the rest

If i remember correctly the 1200 Scanias were removed from service on the Obahn due to some issues with the chassis on these buses and they were deemed not fit for the Obahn

As for the time as track buses i don't think they lasted more than 5 or 6 years?

Thanks FD37, makes sense, I vaguely remember even when they were at Wingfield they were being sent to Scania for chassis repairs, not sure if under warranty or notFormer driver37 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 9:23 pm If i remember correctly the 1200 Scanias were removed from service on the Obahn due to some issues with the chassis on these buses and they were deemed not fit for the Obahn

Most likely around 2008-2009 when the K230s were being introduced.
