They should allow a school to do a mural in the interchange , maybe at shelters i like how some Seaford Line railway stations were painted

Next station is Victoria Square. Change here for all trains.

Fantastic idea. I know Clarence Park and Hove stations have some great mural paintings I think done by local schools. This would look great at Old Reynella

Re: [July/Aug 2020] SA transport observations
That's only worthwhile if there's a school nearby. Nearest to the interchange is Reynella East and they're a bit old for that.

I reckon they should do bus shelters American yellow that stands out because I don't know how many times Ive been on a bus where the bus driver has missed the stop or braked suddenly because the bus stop is not clearly visible.

One of the worst things they did was remove the timetable cases from the bus stops. They were easily identifiable, especially during low lighting conditions, even more so when the stop signage is hidden behind a tree, or fades into the background amongst the various other signs kerbside.Big Engine Mechanic wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2020 4:11 pm I reckon they should do bus shelters American yellow that stands out because I don't know how many times Ive been on a bus where the bus driver has missed the stop or braked suddenly because the bus stop is not clearly visible.

Also a lot of bus stops(both yellow and red) are in urgent need of a coat of paint-some of them are easy to miss-they are so faded. The Phonj wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2020 4:29 pmOne of the worst things they did was remove the timetable cases from the bus stops. It would be nice if the fleet lists would show previous history of all the vehicles, because 451 is not ex Busways Volvo 2451, but ex SouthLink Scania 3230.

Re: [July/Aug 2020] SA transport observations
Yes, if you search by registration, it will show it as 3230 in the old SouthLink list. On the Torrens fleet list however, it does not show as ex 3230. Indeed, if it did, you probably wouldn't have called it ex 2451.
Re: [July/Aug 2020] SA transport observations
Fleet lists does show history of all buses ... it has shown history for easily 10 years plus.
Its not listed on current lists due to it becoming messy.
However there are three (3) other ways to research history.

Re: [July/Aug 2020] SA transport observations
Perhaps a note at the top of the current fleet lists directing people to the historic/disposal lists wouldn't go astray. People who've been in this hobby for a while would know that the vehicles have previous history, and know where to find it, but someone who's new to the hobby may get the idea (for example) that Torrens had the ex SouthLink fleet from new, not knowing that the historic/disposal lists even exist.

It will confuse everyone wouldn’t it.
M.A.N 18.280 ex SouthLink 2750 is now 275 with TT
that was ex 279 with Serco.

If any of you were driving the 254 last night along Torrens road that's good that who ever it was didn't intervene, just saw it on the news tonight some fight in between passengers.

Re: [July/Aug 2020] SA transport observations
Spotted a Bustech in Transport for NSW/Transit Systems livery along Lower Portrush Road this morning. Is this coming from Sydney or is it a new bus out of Bustech in the north destined for Sydney?
Re: [July/Aug 2020] SA transport observations
There were a number of Transport NSW Blue/White Scania Bustechs at Scania last week. I imagine they are on their way to their new home.
