Scania Artic 2823 is now R2823.
With Rail Subs continuing through to December all these R buses and more will be needed.(currently there are 10 "R" buses).

In the past, Southlink replaced the first digit of a fleet number with an R if it was four digits. IE 1432 - R432.

But I could swear that I saw an NL recently that had it's former Southlink number with an R in front. Can't think of which one. Why would they want to use these old timers, when there are so many Scanias that could be used instead?

1184 and 1185 have had the 'R' removed from their number.

Rumour has it that Scania L94UBs 3269 and 3270 have been retired from metro service as of today.

3270 is booked for the BPASA charter this Sunday, after that, who knows what will happen.
First person on 822, 865 (2016 re-route).
Last person on 164, 867, 868

I hope this is as accurate as the rumour of 898 and other SL202 being prematurely withdrawn sometime in 2016, and not actually true.

There is no need to withdraw metro buses before they reach close to 25 years in this state. But somehow, I can't predict the diesel NLs still being around in large numbers in early 2022 either.

I would have thought SouthLink would've needed all the buses they had for the peak service's

Wonder if TT will buy these buses and use them on rail subs as they still have a good 3 to 4 years left in them

Has been off the road for over 12 months. That leaves MAN NL202 246 and 259 still out of action.

1676 is parked by the fence at Morphettville near the withdrawn SLs. It's missing a few bits. I'd say it's finished.

And what about ex 2203 (248)? Is this back on the road now?

If 1675 is still at Newton, then it may still be awaiting a replacement gearbox.

1101 has spent many months off the road since at least 2014. It had it's engine rebuilt around then, and I think it has been mentioned at least twice of it being off the road.

1102 continues to struggle with what I suspect is it's tired engine. I suspect that Morphettville is trying to keep it on the road whilst it's still operable until a replacement part is sourced.

On a more positive note though, 1116 seems to be in a healthy condition again. It was a horrible bus to ride about a year ago.
