Bonus points if you can name where the cars are parked
And the cars are either in the Broncos carpark or in the bowls club next door

Your standing on Albert St, between Alice St and Margaret St in the CBD and I'm guessing (big guess here) the cars are at Royal on the Park hotel.

Re: Queensland
Close enough, I was actually standing on the gardens side of Alice Street looking up Albert, although you did get the carpark, so over to you.Two-Way wrote:Your standing on Albert St, between Alice St and Margaret St in the CBD and I'm guessing (big guess here) the cars are at Royal on the Park hotel.

Re: Queensland
I knew it was the city and I had been to that place recently, I just had to remember where I went on a driving lesson through the CBD yesterday
Re: Queensland
Not many people know or realise about the 'king' and 'queen' situation with the streets, that all the 'king' streets are south to north, with all the 'queen' streets are east to west.

Re: Queensland
Yeah its amazing, I have heard numerous people not know about this. This is how I was taught by my parents to navigate around the city from a very young age. Its amazing once you go into the city regularly how quickly you can remember the order of streets. Kings are easy, queens are a little more tricky though.BT Buses wrote:Not many people know or realise about the 'king' and 'queen' situation with the streets, that all the 'king' streets are south to north, with all the 'queen' streets are east to west.
Also for noofnoofs reference there are 28 intersections between King and Queens. I was going to say 24 (3x8) but I forgot William Street for a second (I always seem to forget William St).

Re: Queensland
In the Kings you forgot Edward, which is after Albert. Also Mary is after Margaret and then Charlotte (from the south) fo therefore Mary and Charlotte should be swapped. Otherwise its correct. Although Turbot street is not a Queen (for some odd reason) it does actually run parallel with the Queens and acts as the reverse for Ann St, as with Margaret and Alice.Happy Bus User wrote:So the streets are,

Re: Queensland
Yep, although for some reason I always consider William by itself (so like 3+1). Probably because Mary and Charlotte Streets don't go over to William, and William (officially) doesn't go up to Ann StHappy Bus User wrote:Oh yeah I forgot about Edward St so there are 4 Kings, not 3!
