That's a pity. Aside from electronic systems to manage headway (although there is precious little information on what they actually do!), these Gliders could also been monitored by Traffic Control, and have a bus waiting to commence a trip 'stepped up' to an earlier trip to manage late running.
Good job of concealing the doors from view there. Aren't these buses all-door loading? There are supposed to be guidelines somewhere (even in DDA regs?) about highlighting visibility of doorways and thresholds, typically in a yellow or some sort of contrasting outline. People with visual constraints would find this a bit of a challenge.verbatim9 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 13, 2021 12:05 am Vicki Howard Facebook--->From today the Schrinner Council is rolling out 18 bigger, brand-new blue CityGlider articulated buses
You can usually see it on trams and trains, as well as many buses. The doors are a contrasting colour (from top to bottom) from the hull.Off The Rails wrote: ↑Tue Jul 13, 2021 5:43 pm This is the first I've heard about these 'guidelines'. Perth, Canberra, and Brisbane don't have doors outlined from the pics I have.
Cheers!
On a low-entry bus many people who might have some sort of impediment don't actually need assistance at the front door. They're perfectly capable of boarding at any door, as long as they can find/see it clearly.BT Enthusiast wrote: ↑Tue Jul 13, 2021 5:48 pm From what I see the front door is visible
If you were needing assistance I would assume to use the front door?
Assisted bosrding generally occurs at the front
