I am putting together a variety of photos of coaches made by Volgren,Qld.This post is open to everyone so you are all welcome to contribute here. There's more to this company so please add here if you can.
At one point,Volgren took the standard 12.2 coach body and added the front header of the Twin Deck coach. This gave the coach a high deck look.

Re: Volgren coaches,Qld.
Great work Denv12 looks like you have captured all the variants of the original VQ factory, build. They certainly were innovative with a lot of the designs, even though all were based on the Volvo B10M chassis, Being Mid-mounted engine with a tag axle didn't stop them changing it all around.
Would love to know more history of what Volgren did in Colebard St. Went for an interview there in 86-87 (didn't snare that one.)
Was certainly a busy street with a lot of coming and goings over the years.

Re: Volgren coaches,Qld.
Hi Maladjusted.Thank you.I tried to round up anything I could find.I think the 12.2 M coach with the Twin Deck front would be good to see here.I'd love to see some of the factory and buses and coaches throughout the history. There's got to be someone out there who can add to this.Maladjusted wrote:Great work Denv12 looks like you have captured all the variants of the original VQ factory, build. Its a shame they started out just using Volvo only chassis. They would have lost some big business because of it.
There could have been some interesting vehicles being made at the time. How about an Volgren bodied Tourmaster chassis? Denning Landseer Twin Deck without the rear deck? Once they started building on all chassis' they would have benefitted then.

"Hi I seeking help I have bought a Volvo Bm10 Volgren 6/1987 ex coach formally used by Kynoch Coaches. I am in Victoria and I wanted it floated down but need dimensions. Does anyone have these please? I have tried Queensland roads and Volgren Queensland where it was built but no one has them.
Cheers GrahamM"
