The yellow RUN# boards can be clearly seen in the first 3 pics.. These were on display for the use of BlackCaps at various interchanges and major points around the City..

Re: BCC from the past
Bus 813 was painted in one of the old Tram liverys ( as were a few other buses at the time )... The pic is in Gregory Tce with 813 on Exhibition 100 shuttles.

Re: BCC from the past
I like the Volgren bodied Merc 0405 that BT had in the fleet before. I wonder why BT did withdraw that bus from service very early on?

DarrenH to answer your question.
I put this in my calculator BT + MB = E.EEEEEEEEEE
BT have not had good reliable runs from this German/Brazil manufacturer.

Re: BCC from the past
I've been informed that ex 921 & 922 are being used on the 326 & 327 services between Strathpine/Bracken Ridge/Sandgate/Toombul aswell at the moment, so people don't need to venture out into the Moreton shire to get these buses.
As for the pics to reduce anymore questions:
921 - Mercedes Benz O405 [Volgren] - now with Hornibrook Bus Lines
926 - MAN SL202 [Volgren] - now with Torrens Trans Adelaide
813 - Volvo B59 [Domino-Hedges] - from BCC to Cairnstrans, North Cairns QLD then Brisbane Bus Lines, Enoggera QLD (#77) then Awon Bus Service, Lindum QLD (#54) then Sisils Bus Lines, Lindum QLD (#54)
999 - Toyota Coaster minibus (Electric) [Arakawa] - unknown whereabouts
704 - Mercedes Benz LO.812 midi [Motor Body Specialists] (entered service as bus 704, later renumbered to 490) - now with Surfside bus lines (although unsure if it is still there)
355 - MAN 10.180 [Austral] midi - now in Mt Walker QLD
99 - Volvo B10M mk2 [Comeng] (entered service as 99 and used as the LookaBout Tour bus (1 of 3), later renumbered to 479 and painted into the CityXpress livery for CityXpress work) - Still in service at Carina
Hopefully I haven't missed anything out, and if any of the current whereabouts is outdated, please let me know.

794 & 830 were the other buses painted up in tram liveries in the late '80's. I recall a Panther going around in a PGH ad that looked like a brick wall around the same time.

Back in 1994, when the movie Speed came out, there was a bus with AOA including huge mock sticks of dynamite on its roof to promote the film.dude wrote:I recall a Panther going around in a PGH ad that looked like a brick wall around the same time.
You used to have to pay money to see a freak show; now you have to pay NOT to.

Re: BCC from the past
The MAN 10.180-355 which went to Mt Walker.
I believe it went down a hill in angel gear with no pilot no problem, but at the bus stop at the bottom it didn't fair well and now is no more.
Thank You DENAIR for that flashback. I can't get over how shiny 813 is.
