Invicta 761 along with I779, I793, I794 and I797 will be on the Sunshine to Flemington rail shuttles if you want to take a look see. They will be based at the Sita depot for two weeks as of tomorrow afternoon.

It's not highly brilliant, as sometimes while on a break I my have a look at whats on it and some articles are multi screen but the following part of the artical is not shown. Also some of these text articals are displayed so you can only get to read 1/2 of the artical, and others plenty of time. No consistancy in the system at all.werd wrote:That is correct. 242 and 45 have returned from Sita and rail shuttles. Some of the Grenda 'rail' B10M's can be seen now over on Albion shuttles.
Spotted today at MT was 664, 666, 667, 668 and 669 all VolvoB7 track buses. These now have rear vision cameras and cameras above the front door. Mixture of Peninsula and Grenda deliveries.

Re: Grenda Group news July - December 2011
The rear camera's are completely useless, as they get dirty very quicky and vision is just a blurry mess, if there was some way of them staying clean, vision may be better. As the rear of the Invicta based buses get very dirty as there is a significant amount of gravel / dirt bus stops increasing the dirtiness of these buses.Desto Dave wrote:242 and 45 have returned from Sita and rail shuttles. sighted at Dandenong this morning was Moorabbin #595 on route 828 & correct me if i'm wrong; it looks like #595 has a new desto installed as it seems "Berwick 828" is in a small font?
peace out

Is that a bus, or a mobile billboard?MMTB Busnut wrote: Today saw the first "Fullback" advertisments applied to Invicta buses, in total there will be I think 9 units. Here is 771 complete with advert today.
Needless to say, I'm not a fan.. I do not like advertising on buses, or on most public spaces. I am a bit of a traditionalist like that. I can even recall the days when there was no advertising on VFL footy jumpers..

Re: Grenda Group news July - December 2011
same desto, but for some reason the programmer has programmed BERWICK 828 twice using different fonts, hence why you see that particular destination look different sometimes, depending which one the driver selects.B10BLE wrote:sighted at Dandenong this morning was Moorabbin #595 on route 828 & correct me if i'm wrong; it looks like #595 has a new desto installed as it seems "Berwick 828" is in a small font?

Re: Grenda Group news July - December 2011
Question in regards to that sticker. Is it a closed window meaning no window or is the sticker now rendering the emergency exit useless?

The rear window on these buses is NOT an emergency exit, as the rear seats are too high and no steps (foot plates) on the rear of the bus.dex wrote:Question in regards to that sticker. Is it a closed window meaning no window or is the sticker now rendering the emergency exit useless?

Eastrans also does this. Not sure about the other CDC companies.

Eastrans & East West have the hazzard lights connected to the doors, so as soon as you open them the hazzard lights are on. (Smartbuses that is, as I've driven them)cal_t wrote:Eastrans also does this. Not sure about the other CDC companies.
I have noticed some drivers putting on the hazzard lights, but the worst part is the ones that turn them on themselves can forget there on and leave them turned on driving up the road!

Correct Railwaybus. The entire group has them. As does Melbourne Bus Link.
