It's a similar problem with the next service display at Neutral Bay Junction for the 100, which for a city-bound service (ie. same stop as the B1), shows "Taronga Zoo" as the destination, not "City-QVB" or similar, and some other bus routes that operate in a loop with a single terminus.Fleet Lists wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 7:03 pm Yes but it is timetabled as a loop service back to Chatswood which is causing the problem.

Re: December Bus Changes - Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore
Imagine complaining about having too frequent buses... You can tell they've never wanted to step foot on public transport before.
Instead of having 10 min peak frequencies and 60 min off-peak frequencies, the 172X could work better with 15 min peak frequencies from Balgowlah Rd @ Condamine St (with extra services between Seaforth (Frenchs Forest Rd) and the City and every 2nd bus extended to/from Warringah Mall) and every 30 mins off-peak. That would balance services out a lot more and create more of an "all-day" network that they claim.
Or, they could run the 172X like this: https://www.google.com.au/maps/dir/-33. ... 80!1m0!3e0. It would expand the City-bound service coverage of the northern-Seaforth area and negate the need for a transfer onto the 141 for that short leg of the journey. Urunga St doesn't want any buses? Then they don't get any buses!
Aside from this, I think the person who wrote the Have your Say page is under the impression the 172X runs every 10 mins all-day, making the web page sound that way. Hard to get good help these days...

I still remember in 2010 with the then-Inner West bus review for the then-would-be-new-Route 418 was originally destined to run via Croydon town centre.
The feedback from the review from Croydon town centre people: we don't want a bus through here.

North Balgowlah bus service adjustments
Tuesday 22 June 2021
Bus service adjustments will be implemented in North Balgowlah, Seaforth and Balgowlah Heights from Sunday 11 July 2021, in response to recent community feedback undertaken regarding bus services on route 172X.
The service adjustments will reduce the number of bus services operating along some local streets used by route 172X, while maintaining overall service frequency for customers from North Balgowlah and Seaforth travelling towards the city during weekday peak periods.
In addition to timetable changes to route 172X, reinstated routes 168X and 171X will now provide direct access to the city for North Balgowlah and Balgowlah Heights customers.
Changes being introduced on Sunday 11 July include:
Timetable adjustments for route 172X, predominantly during weekday peak periods, with a reduction in the number of services operating via the Urunga Street area
Reinstatement of peak hour route 168X between North Balgowlah, Seaforth and the City on weekdays
Reinstatement of peak hour route 171X between Balgowlah Shops, Balgowlah Heights and the City on weekdays
Timetable adjustments for route 162 between Seaforth and Manly, to support the reinstatement of route 171X, and to improve connections with ferry services at Manly during the afternoon peak period
As part of these service adjustments, customers in North Balgowlah will enjoy faster and more direct services to the city with the reintroduction of route 168X, and customers in Balgowlah Heights will be able to travel direct to the City with the reintroduction of route 171X.
To support the changes in the Seaforth area, minor timetable changes will also be introduced on route 246 departing the city during afternoon peak periods, and the morning school route 707n from North Balgowlah to North Sydney will operate 15 minutes later than currently.
These service changes are being introduced following engagement with the local North Balgowlah community on options for service adjustments earlier this year, followed by a two-week period of customer feedback during May 2021. Route 707n will depart Woodbine Street Shops in North Balgowlah at 7.25am to arrive at Milsons Point by 8.15 to improve accessibility for students travelling to the lower north shore.
You will be able to check the changes in the Trip Planner from Sunday 27 June 2021.

New timetables for 168x,171x & 172x as from 11 July are now on TfNSW website (3 days late - a Covid problem?).
