I came across this in Wikipedia - I wonder how out of date that is as I have not heard about it for years. If anything I thought it used to operate in the Wollongong area.The Night Owl Bus Service, operated by Red Bus Services and Busways, provides transport to Long Jetty on Friday and Saturday nights between 12am and 5am.

Re: Night Owl Bus Service.
I have since found this which is probably dated about 2005 https://acrs.org.au/files/arsrpe/RS050101.pdf so I expect well out of date.

Yeah, wiki isn't reliable for obscure local articles. Many are either well out of date or total made up nonsense.
Eastgardens to Kingsford is a 1-2 section fare.

.....bearing in mind, also, that STA also ran a pair of night owl bus services many years ago.
They had two services that each operated on Friday and Saturday nights.
One was operated by Randwick and ran on a special route that ran past various major pubs and clubs around Coogee between midnight and 5am.
The second service, operated by Brookvale, also operated a special route around the Manly area.
In each case, from memory, a specially wrapped Mark 5 Benz was used.
Initially they were bright orange, and later they were re wrapped into a ‘night sky with owls all over it’ scheme.
I can’t find any photos of them at present.

@STAJourneyman
I had a quick look over in the ATDB photo gallery and found this picture, I can't see any owls on it through

Album says it's part of a 2003 set of photos if that helps jog your memory?
There's also this from 2008 but it's on a Volvo B10BLE Ansair and is not a full AOA

Re: Night Owl Bus Service.
The first photo was on the Illawarra version I mentioned and not the Central Coast service.

STA used the NightOwl branding up in Newcastle in the 90s. The more recent Sydney night services were called the Pumpkin Bus.
