Backed up with this response
"To ensure the services within the catchment are genuinely improved, we have been analysing our performance data closely and aim to deliver significant on time running improvements over the coming months.

"Given the scale of the region, it is naturally a time-consuming and complex task, so we appreciate the community's patience while we have evaluated the network, and we look forward to enhancing the commuter’s experience when we implement the service improvements."

Sydney Bus changes 28th July 2019

Does anyone know when the next round of Metro-related changes will be made to Hillsbus services? I heard a suggestion it would be immediately after the July school holidays.

All still speculation. And just because you will see new Hillsbus timetables after the holidays, they will probably just be the new school term timetables.

It was reported that "bus services along the M2 motorway would likely change eight weeks after metro services began"...not sure if there are any changes to the plan afterwards.

I am not aware of any 8 weeks. The Metro announcement for 26th May stated:" Further adjustments are planned for the second half of 2019. This will allow us to review Opal data and travel patterns so that we can make adjustments where they are needed. These adjustments mean you may need to change the way you travel to get to your destination quickly and more comfortably."

Seems like changes will start on July 28 with as far as I know (maybe more route changes with other routes, I'm not sure)

607X curtailed to end at Bella Vista
602X curtailed to end at Bella Vista
607N New 607N route from Tallawong to the City via M2
610X curtailed to Kellyville Station
610N New 610N route from Norwest Station to the City via Baulkham Hills and Castle Hill
612X curtailed to end at Castle Hill
613-616X will remain the same
627 and 628 Scrapped
618X Scrapped
619 Curtailed to end at Castle Hill

607X curtailed to Bella Vista i feel a positive change as the bus is standing only by the time it departs Celebration, with passengers from Celebration to the M2 having to stand or catch the next 607X.

Residents across The Hills have received a public transport lifeline from NSW Government, following the announcement of increased bus services from residential areas to Sydney Metro stations.

A growing campaign by the North Kellyville Advocacy Group, which was calling for the implementation of on-demand bus services to Kellyville, Rouse Hill and Beaumont Hills after the completion of the new metro network, has been answered by Transport for NSW with thousands of new bus services to be rolled out on July 28.

Nightride as such is a thing of the past. New overnight routes are being integrated into the bus region network. see 333N etc.

Very curious to see the new routes and frequencies of 632, 633 and 651 which they're extending to Rouse Hill. Those services, as well as the 626 and boosted 601 will be crucial in ferrying commuters from the greater NW onto the metro. Hopefully we will see these services become more and more frequent over the years, and bus then changing to metro will be seen as a normal and convenient trip, as opposed to the single seat journey mentality that's been ingrained into the Sydney commuter for so many decades.

Yes, it looks like there will be no Nightride for the Metro.

These two routes look much more like the rest of the newly introduced overnight services; 333N, 400N, 420N, it was only time before they got the treatment too. Now for the 373N, 394N, etc

Only 61 days from first service on May 27 to last service on July 26. Didn’t even quite make two months. I guess Route 643 just wasn’t working for them, so they cut their losses and gave up. Is there any scheduled route services in Sydney that have lasted for less time?

Maybe the staff / spectator shuttles during the Olympics but they don't really count as a scheduled service.

550N seems to have missed the treatment. Image

I think there is one crucial difference though: all of the N suffixed routes are actually a little different to their regular route.

333N/400N is all stops instead of limited stops

420N doesn't run via Domestic

The listed 610N, 620N and 607N all seem to have a little route extension or deviation somewhere?

Originally 620N was suffixed as such as it ran direct via New Line Road (hence the N suffix) between Purchase Road and Boundary Road as opposed to the 620/620X which deviated through Cherrybrook via Purchase Road, Shepherds Drive and Francis Greenway Drive.
