It may suit some customers that like the feeling of exclusivity this black market service offers, they do not stop to consider the harm this carelessly concieved illegal product can do down the line for the drivers themselves and other passengers with the lack of controls that it has over legally accredited passenger services.V981 wrote:
While the taxi industry has waged war on Uber, stating that while taxis are accredited and fully licensed, Uber is not, commuters are also speaking loud and clear, and many of them are saying the Uber quite simply operates a superior service, stating that the convenience of the simple app and cashless payment system, in addition to friendly drivers who exhibit great customer service and know where they are going, are the main reasons they choose Uber over taxi's.
Friendly drivers? One of the features that bugs me about Uber's ride sharing service is the easily abused points ratings system for drivers each passenger fills out.
This brings an unnecessary pressure on the driver to pretend to be extra nice to every customer even though they are being a pain in the ass to deal with. What a pain.
One driver may not have been as enthtralling a story teller to a certain passenger over the last driver,
so gets low points for that. Uber can use that as an excuse to get rid of you no questions asked.
There will always be passengers you don't see eye to eye with, so if you have a bad patch of that are you going to risk your livelyhood because of one clash of personalities too many or simply an ass of a passenger to start with didn't score you too well.
Great, bring on the Uber drivers that have to be professional entertainers too.
