New Chadstone Interchange
Just noticed that on the ptv website under timetables there seems to be listings for new timetables for the 612,623,624,625,626 all have new timetables from 4 August 2015
Anyone have any evidence of what these changes are going to be?

Re: CDC Victoria Group timetables
I would assume funding has now become available to do some "tweaking" of the ex. Driver routes, quite possibly to reflect more convenient starting and finishing locations of services, owing to the change in depot location. For example, on the 624, having more services terminate at Oakleigh, as opposed to Chadstone, then bussing in from there.
I am aware that CDC have requested extra funding for the Route 612- to run services across the full route on a Saturday afternoon, all day on a Sunday, as well as simplifying the Monday to Friday timetable (doing away with the school holiday variation side of things).
Let's just hope any upcoming changes are good ones!

Re: CDC Victoria Group timetables
There are new timetables for all routes operating to Chadstone. It'll have something to do with the new interchange being brought into use.
As for anything more substantial, watch this space.

Re: CDC Victoria Group timetables
Hello,
New timetables are now available online for all bus routes servicing Chadstone, owing to the new interchange opening next week.
Timetables are effective from 5th August, and see little if any change to the existing timetables.
Route maps have been updated where required.

Re: CDC Victoria Group timetables
^ The Corrigan Road stop is actually before the cemetery stop. The buses enter via Main Drive and exit via Third Drive (in an anti-clockwise loop because both roads are one-way), so it's quite correct.

From the CDC Victoria website. There doesn't appear to be a detailed item on the PTV website yet.
The bay allocation seems poorly thought out - all direct buses to Oakleigh should be departing from the central island, with the bays on the perimeter reserved for the rest. Instead, your next bus will leave from Bays 1, 3, 6, 8 or 10. And little improvement either for passengers travelling to Holmesglen (Bays 2 or 9) or up Waverley Rd (Bays 1 or 9). Once I've had a chance to visit the new interchange for myself, I'll post my ideal bay allocation.
Some random choices for the via points on the directory too - although the routes might travel through a suburb's boundary, it will just lead to confusion in a couple of cases - 624 goes nowhere near the heart of Mt Waverley, just along the suburb edge, 623 only serves northern Elsternwick. And Monash Uni would be more helpful for 802 and 804 than Clayton.
EDIT: Item also on the PTV website here hidden away in the news section not the Live Travel Updates page - http://www.ptv.vic.gov.au/news-and-even ... terchange/

Not clear why only some routes are listed in the above news item.CDC Victoria wrote: New Chadstone Bus Interchange opens
As part of the redevelopment of Chadstone Shopping Centre, a new bus interchange and taxi rank has had the ribbon cut and is set to open on Wednesday 5 August.
At least one million passengers will use the bus interchange every year once it opens to the public on Wednesday 5 August, providing shoppers with a central point to access Chadstone Shopping Centre from an extensive network of 14 bus lines connecting to the suburban train network and Melbourne’s east and south.

The interchange is weather-protected with ample seating, CCTV, canopy heating and real-time electronic signage for commuters (where available), and will accompany new bus priority lanes and signals installed along Dandenong Road. It was designed based on world’s best practice and will capture rainwater off the roof canopy for reuse via a rainwater tank for toilet flushing, gardens and landscaping irrigation.
The interchange will be the central point to board the following buses:
612 - Box Hill - Chadstone
623 - Glen Waverley - St Kilda
742 - Eastland - Chadstone
767 - Southland - Box Hill
822 - Chadstone - Sandringham
862 - Dandenong - Chadstone
900 - Rowville - Caulfield
903 - Altona - Mordialloc
