MercedesOC1617 1982 build

Post by bunyip »

Hello to all,I have an 1982 Mercedes OC1617 bus and urgently require a workshop manual ( or something that shows the wiring diagrams )and if possible an Operators manual,so I can rewire what the experts have completely fouled up,( its an absolute mess fellas )I spent two years making the old girl into a motorhome that has every damned thing to make travelling a joy only to find out that the electrics are an absolute night mare, all the work my mate did rewiring the bus has been cut/spliced rerouted etc,so that even he is stumped and now noone can make head or tail of it,Fix one problem only leads to another, the mate and four auto elecs have all said the same thing,"go back to the loom and start again"easy said, but without the correct info a very long and laborious job not to mention expensive
Any help at all would be greatly apprecaited,Thank you Regards, Bunyip

Hey Bunyip, I can't help you but maybe you can help me. I have the same model, OC1617 & I need a new matter/slave clutch cylinder. I'm not sure what these are other than they pump fluid into the clutch & the bus can change gears. Currently & for some time now I haven't been able to change gears so I can't move it to get a tyre fixed. Any ideas on this will be gratefully accepted.

The master and slave cylinders are separate items. You can take them off and take to a brake specialist to get reconditioned.
