Removal of edit function

Post by TA3001 »

I notice that this forum no longer has a function that enables one to edit their post after hitting submit.

Personally, I find it to be a nuisance, considering that I sometimes have a genuine reason to edit a post. Is there a reason for the sudden removal of this feature?

It reminds me of some other forums on the internet which I'd never join, due to similar annoyances.

I haven't noticed the loss of the edit function on my end, and even went as far as check a recent post to see if it was still there. Maybe try another browser if possible?

I've still got it, and appears to work.

Perhaps with this other error message relating to submit, you might need to log out and log back in again.

On some forums, the edit function may not available after a certain time, presumably this can be set in the software.

Is it possible that the missing edit feature coincides with the presence of that error message?

IE it interprets my post as someone else's, and hence no option to edit it. I'm probably incorrect in this regard, but who knows.

I doubt there is any connection; seems you are the only affected?
