Unknown Operators / Unidentified Buses

Post by ScaniaGrenda »

I've decidedly created this thread where fleet-changes can be posted in which that buses have either ended up with Unknown owners / operators or their history isn't readily available, this thread should help keep track of buses that have been seen out in the wild but an operator hasn't been able to identified or their information is not on the fleet-lists.

Two Volvo B12B's NCBC's have been seen for sale on Pickels Auctions in the Northern Territory at Darwin however searching their full vin or last 4 digits does not return any information in the fleet list.

One of the B12B's VIN's is YV3R8L3259A135062(Build 02/10, 51 seats, build No 527)

The other B12B NCBC Vin is YV3R8L3239A135092 (Build Date 03/10, 51 seats, build No 529)

They're ex Australian Defence Force coaches, which have all been replaced by a another batch of new Scania K410IB/ Express coaches. At least 2 have already gone to auction & there is at least 10 more possibly due to also go to auction in the future.

Have some more to add to the list

Currently listed on Pickles Motor auctions

1995 MAN 12.190 HOC.L PMCA Apollo
VIN - 6AB7520274MX00459
Current / Last Registration -(NSW) CR12CI however it expired on the 14th August 2019

It was last reported to have been sold to Vacation Tour Coaching, Surfers Paradise, QLD however I trust the Pickles listing is using the most recent photos which still shows it to be fitted with the CR12CI NSW plates. It still has the accreditation on the drivers side but 98% of it has been taped over. It was ex Murrys 083SPR

Scania K93CRB PMCA Apollo
Vin - YS4KC4X2B01823186
Last Reported Registration - (NSW) TV 812. TV 812 is no longer currently registered as of the writing of this post.

It was last reported to have been sold to K-K Coaching, Kingsgrove in 2014 however the photo on the listing shows accreditation for a company called ".... Management" Can't read the first letters as the image is a bit on the low quality side. I think the accreditation number is 41272 and is based at Chullora Sydney.

Looks like Christian College down in Victoria withdrew their Mercedes-Benz OH1418 that was last reg ZDH302 of which expired back in 2017, it's since ended up with an unknown owner that has listed it on Gumtree for sale after they cancelled their plans to convert said bus to a motorhome.

Former Ryans Hino RK176K 5529 MO advertised for sale on Facebook located somewhere on the Central coast as a half-completed motorhome bus.

Unknown Mercedes-Benz O303-3 Coach advertised for sale on the Central coast, due to no plates and no photos of the VIN plate I can't identify who this bus formerly belonged too. If it helps identify anything, the owner also has a former Transdev Melbourne MAN Designline bus however that is not for sale.

Former 7401AO from Transdev Melbourne listed for sale on Facebook at Thirlmere as a guttered bus with interior stripped (failed motorhome project)

CN17QK (Mercedes-Benz OH1625 Citiliner) listed for sale in Sydney as a potential bus motorhome

Mt Buller Bus Lines 5121AO 1989 Volvo B6M Volgren listed up for sale at Gunnedah, NSW

Kia Cosmos Alan B Denning Corsair for sale through Bill Slatterys Truck & Bus Sales, suspected to have formally belonged to Maffescioni's of Maryborough, this is further confirmed by the fact their Kia Cosmos registration "0306SO" expired a few days ago.

Cross posting this here if that is fine?

Anyone know who the operator of XN35PE is? The bus in question is a 2006 Hino RK (possibly RK260) P&D and was spotted near Newcastle West Yesterday however I didn't grab the accreditation. I'm suspecting this is possibly former 2085AO from Warragul Bus Lines as the VIN both ends in 0077 and both buses are RK Hinos & P&D's and same year models so I'm now really drawing this to be the former Warragul bus.

I sadly didn't grab a picture but this bus is confirmed to be floating around Newcastle somewhere with a current unknown operator.

Been a while since I've last posted here so I'll get back into things

First up, I want to note there's an unknown owner who is selling their 1997 Mercedes-Benz OH1418 Austral Denning In Maryborough, VIC on Facebook listed 11 weeks ago from now (don't know if it has since sold or if it is still for sale). It is registered as 1JN9ND, VIN - WDB38200461064480. Tried doing a lookup using both the complete VIN & last 4 digits (4480) on the fleet-lists but nothing returns for the VIN and registration. Definitely in the state where it is to be turned into a motorhome.

There is an Mercedes-Benz O305 PMC MK IV for sale in Billinudgel on Facebook, only listed 5 days ago and in a stripped state. No Fleet Number for this one anywhere on the bus remains but someone may know more on this than what I do.

Well, looks like another former ex STA --> NSW Police Bus --> ??? has shown up for sale on Pickles

Former Mercedes-Benz O305 MK IV Waverley m/o 2854, registered as BT13EB at one point while with NSW Police.

Listed as a unregistered salvage vehicle / Statutory Write-Off

Image

Image

Body Number plaque 7127 matches up with what is listed on the ATDB Fleet-list.

Seems to be some minor differences between the VIN listed for 2854 on Fleet-lists and the vin plate in the buses photo.

On fleet-lists, it's listed with the VIN

Fleet List - 30700164043178

But in the provided photo it's listed with the VIN - 30100161043178

I spotted former m/o 7512, Transdev Shorelink Volvo B10M MK III on the weekend around Central.

VIN - YV31MKB17JD018504

Now registered as TV 835A, nothing comes up in the fleet-list for TV835A presently, the current operator is unknown, Fleet-lists says the last noted operator was Bob's Airport Shuttle & Minibus Hire - Eastern Creek where it's previous registration was 8506 MO and expired on the 4/6/2020.

I have a photo I took on Saturday at Lake Macquarie of an Mercedes LO815 Alan B Denning Vario, TV 9077

A Vin check on the bus comes back as having been previously operated by Simes Bros Lismore as MO 4548, then sold to Smith's South Riana Tasmania as EU 2114. Smiths travel sold it at some point in 2013 to Experience Tasmania Hobart retaining the same registration (EU 2114). The fleet-lists for this have a conflicting body build date

For both Simes & Buses are us, the body build date is listed as 05/05/1999 but for Experience Tasmania it's now listed as 2000 built although NSW registration checker says this is a 1999 model.

Experience Tasmania is obviously no longer in possession of this Alan B Denning Vario, I don't know who the NSW operator for it now is and there is nothing on fleet-lists for TV 9077 (otherwise I wouldn't be posting in this thread)

No photos however the bus was spotted in Cessnock this morning, Rego SSJ000, appears to be a 1997 Volvo B12 Alan B Denning Galaxy, however with an unknown operator, nothing comes up in fleet-lists for the last 4 Digits of this VIN nor SSJ000, any idea who this belongs too including previous operator history?

Last time I saw it a week ago it had Souths Juniors signage all over it.
It’s not classed as a public bus, so it doesn’t require accreditation.
