WOW!! Thanks for that link. Those photos of the actual conversion are amazing. Because we only saw it once it arrived in Tasmania, it's very interesting to see how it originally looked. Many thanks.

Re: Trip down TASSIE memory lane

Ah... Great shots Tas Bus Nut, including the infamous 82. In respect to 82 & it's long trips though, comparing it to some other routes, (say, L90 or the like) it's about average. It would be OK if the passengers were paying Metro fares, but when the prices are a lot higher they should expect so...

Re: More Tassie shots, but from 2005.

The bus # for the AOA HO/FM is #622 now repainted white. The two original feeder buses MANs that were used when MX Express system started were #503 & #504. Hobart Coach #11 is now in "Metro" livery as Hobart Coaches are no longer more. Were going to rename "METRO REGIONAL" ho...

Gee that destination on the Deanes Bus would be hard to understand if you weren't from the ACT. Bit like some of the destinations in Tasmania. Great pix. Especially the Mack/Renaults. They are a great looking bus.

Re: More 0305's awaiting the boneyard

These Reno/Macks look fantastic. Look a hell of a lot better than many of the old clunkers driving around Tassie. Very smart styling.
Would LOVE to see these buses in Tassie.

Re: AOA CB60s from TASMANIA + Redline rarities

Always happy to see Metro Tassie pics! Nice work. Are the rest of the new CB60's in service in 'fleet' livery and just these ones photographed in AOA's? Nice pick up getting the Wilderness railway Denning in Hobart, a bit of track! Can't wait to see a proper pic of 236 then! Keep up the good work. ...

Re: Recent Launceston & Hobart pix

Hi The Mayor. It is certainly very strange seeing one of the old Ansair Mk.1 Scanias running around Launceston. I have checked with management today and apparently #130 & #132 have been relocated to Launceston for a short time because of bus shortages. Launceston buses have to be fitted out for ...

Fantastic shots mate, keep them coming! I've been enthused by Metro Tas for quite some time, love their fleet, so, I'd be very interested if you posted more photos! Forgive my ignorance on the matter, but regarding the Scania Euro V, how did they achieve this, do Scania still use a EGR en...

Re: Yet another quick bunch from Tassie in 2005

Hi Wally Otto. Great to find another enthusiast with Tassie pix. #618 in your first photo is now relocated back to Hobart and is now in Metro's famous "attractive/hideous" all-over white. I made mention to Metro's Ops Mgr a few months back that the buses look s%#t without corporate identit...
