Must-do Gunzelling?

Can anybody assist me... As some of you would be aware, the HBA is having an "Adelaide buses day" at the Heritage Park on the 12th November (advertised in SA section at: http://www.busaustralia.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17264 ). I am coming over for the weekend; arriving in the morning of ...

Welcome to Adelaide, Alex. Hope you enjoy your stay. 1350 can (theoretically) be rostered on any run operated by Camden Park depot. Considering that while you will be here is during School Holidays, it could end up doing anything, but I'll do my best to try and work it out for you. Lately it seems t...

I believe that under the contract the service providers have with the PTD; the terminus must be reached at all times. Drivers that are not reaching the terminus before returning to depot or heading off to do other trips are doing the wrong thing. Having said this; I have seen a School Bus working ar...

The longest trip I've done would have been a 640 from Marino which then became a 110 at Marion through to the City and then out to Rostrevor as a 102; coming in at 2 and a bit hours. I wonder if any 110's are through-routed from 104's - that would be even longer! Of course a full lap of the Circle L...

gunzel42, you may be interested to know that I purchased Daimler Roadliner 212; with full intentions of bringing it back 'home' to Adelaide, and restoring it. It is in Qld at the moment as that is where it was purchased from; and it was recently brought to Heritage Park; which would be a good 200 km...

My guess is it would be either a change-over; or the shift which swaps an artic in the morning for a rigid so the artic can be used for driver instruction duties.

Good to see that they arrived safely. Are PETS planning on operating them as coupled sets when they do enter service? And when are they expected to enter service?

Definately going to PETS on my next visit to Perth now! :)

I think that the new J1 would be a longer route than the Circle Line - Adelaide to Elizabeth by train is 25 kms and Adelaide to Glenelg by tram is just over 11 kms. Considering that the J1 takes a longer route than these two journeys (If I remember rightly, the old TL3 was about 30 kms) I'm sure tha...

When one looks back to STA and even TA days; the rule for 'F' buses was "does not pick up on inbound journeys and does not set down on outbound journeys." It is quite possible that some drivers - particularly those that have been around for some time still follow that ruling. Many of the '...

Did the air get charged full fare, or did it have the appropriate concession card to entitle it to a concession fare? Actually, once the trams could resume full service, you'd think the buses would have been pulled off. The air was going to be charged full fare; but as the instructions were not to ...

The use of a 4 digit route number (ie 3 numbers with a letter) system is good, if used correctly. There should be standard letters - ie X for express routes etc; with the rest of the letters being used for deviations or short workings. Having said that not all short workings need to have a subletter...
